    This is a great tutorial! I used this as a guide to install my own fog lights on a 2002 civic. The only thing I did differently is to wire the switch on the left of the steering column. There’s another pop out panel there as well and it feels like more of a natural location to have lighting controls. I put my seat heater switches where you guys put the switch :) thanks for the great videos!

    hi 1A auto i just followed this tutorial and im pleased with the little details that are added here, i would like to offer little tip into making this that much cleaner of a install
    i completed this install by tucking the wires into the front crash bar instead of running them ontop of the radiator support ,i was able to get the fog light wires coming out of each side of the crash bar and then running the relay and power wire thru the crash bar coming out of the passenger side hole same as fog light wire i ran.. the whole harness is in the crashbar, i wrapped up the whole crashbar with wide scotch tape just like the piece of tape thats holding up the foam on front of the crash bar i just wrapped it all the way around so the harness cant fall out into the front of the radiator/condenser , now with the ground wire thats on the driverside of the harness i was able to find a bolt just to the left of the driver side light like 2 inches away from it so i tapped the ground into it there, power wire/relay/switchwire was ran the thru same hole next to fender and ran to the fuse box just as instructed, the rest of the installation was exactly the same way( power wire tapping into cigarette lighter) but instead of running the switch to the middle console with cigarette lighter i ran it thru to the mirror/cruise control assembly on the left side of the steering wheel.
    thanks to this tutorial video you made i was able to get my fog lights installed on my 2004 honda civic GX and with the little tips i put above the harness and lights were installed super clean all tucked in like a pro and i cant be happier with my install, thanks again 1A Auto you made my day !!!!

    I installed these as in the video and then I notice my led light strips connected to the (cigarette lighter) started to flicker not on and off but like pulsing. Then I notice my dome interior lights did the same and also my trunk light. Any ideas what could be wrong?

    • @tombrannan1940
      @tombrannan1940 2 года назад

      i had pulsing headlights and interior lights on my 03 ex and for a while i had been assuming it was an alternator issue, sure enough i tested my alternator and it wasn’t putting out the proper voltage(14-14.2ish) to compensate and charge the battery, replaced the alternator solved the issue. Might not be the same case for you but i figured i might as well share and see if it could help

  • @RRtradestar

    There are much easier and more effective/safer and professional ways to wire things up to a car rather than splicing into already existing components.
    There are fusible links that go directly into the fuse panel so your wiring is all clean and together, plus it would be fused so if something blows there would be no issues.
