Switching from an Android to an iPhone

- After using Androids for 6 years, I finally gave the iPhone another chance and honestly there wasn't as big of a difference in the operating systems as I thought there would have been.
This video goes into details for anyone who has thought about switching and wanted to know what to expect.
People like my parents find iPhones to be way easier. They don’t care about customizing their phones, they just want to use the phone app, FaceTime video, WhatsApp and RUclips. I carry both an Android phone and iPhone. They have their pros and cons. I suggest people to use what they like and not belittle others for using something different.
100% agree! I wish people just let people use what they like/want and stop shamming people for using what they want
Being able to customize more doesn't mean you have to. I think iOS users think customizing must be a chore because on iOS it is a tedious and time consuming project to try to clean up your home screen. That's just not the case on Android, where it starts clean and then you can add a few things to it here and there as needed. If you don't want to spend time customizing things then iOS is actually way worse.
@@SamGarfield1 yeah i definitely want the option to do it IF i want to. Looks like iOS 18 is going to be bringing a lot of customization so I’m excited!
Correct, I customise only once or twice and never do it again.
Agreed 👍🏻
Glad to finally have you back
Glad to be back!
Preach! The android slander has been ridiculous!
For real!! Unnecessary and without any knowledge 🙌🏽
I switched to a 15 Plus this year. I was a hardcore Android user and didn’t think I’d switch after using Android for 8 years. Truth is the only gripes are typing/editing text and photo organisation. At least I’ll get majority of the Android features I miss in iOS 18
Yeah I’m super excited about iOS 18! If they deliver on all the features then i think iOS finally has come close to making a near perfect operating system especially if Siri is as robust as they made it seem!
@@aliateeqvisuals Idrc about the home screen customisation really… Custom Lock Screen shortcuts, control panel, app lock and more battery % limiter are the features I’m looking forward to most. Good timing to switch as I didn’t have to wait long 😂
Universal Back gestures , split screen , clipboard, more devices
@@DomCobb1 for sure! These are all great features!
There’s no “close all” button because it actually harms your proned performance and battery if you close the apps. It’s not like in Android. You don’t have to close an app unless it’s unresponsive. 🙄
You don't have to do that with Android either. It's bad advice.
Great video! New sub.
Thank you so much! Really appreciate it 🫶🏽
The android people slam Apple users just as much in my experience 🤷♂️ good video 👍🏻
Haha it def goes both ways! Thank you 🙏🏽
You can change icons with shortcuts on iOS. Neither any of the OSs have native icon replacements.
Good to know! I need to look into this 🙌🏽
Can you make another video showing both side by side? You might get me to convert that way.
Haha I’m always down to make more Android vs apple content! 🫶🏽
I like both. I like Android a little more.
Decently sized hands you say 👀👀
Hahaha
I'm thinking about upgrading my Note10 plus to an IPhone15 PM. I don't care for customization. I feel like there's too much on my phone. I've had my Note10 plus for 4.5 years and I'm finding new features that I've never used today. So overwhelming 😂 I was also gifted an Apple Watch 9 and I want to try Apple's ecosystem for the first time. Also can you explain the difference between Apple Pay and Google pay? Which one works better? Great video thanks a bunch 😊
I think you should def try it out! You won’t know what you like until you try out as many options as you can! Also you’ll def see a big difference in performance upgrading to any flagship phone after 4.5 years!
Personally i didn’t see any real difference in the basic functionality of Apple Pay vs google pay. They both seem to work really well for everyday use.
Thank you so much for watching 🫶🏽
Why do people think having the ability to customize means you must spend time customizing? It's there if you want. It's not something that it forces you to do. I'd argue Apple forces you to spend more time customizing and cleaning up because you have to tediously move each icon one by one to clean up the default, which is to randomly puke icons arbitrarily all over the place. Android just puts everything into a simple alphabetical list inside a drawer. It's the difference between throwing all your papers randomly in piles all over your desk or using a file cabinet.
Apple apps are put in folders auto. On Android, you must make every folder & add every app individually and at the end give every folder a name.
You do not close apps one by one as you say, the reason being optimised you don't actually have to, not are you supposed to, close all apps on iPhone. I thought this was a tech channel? 😂
So true, I often try the iphone but always feel like a sell out. Like I now have the same phone that every 12 yr old has. So I always go back to Android.
You should try the iOS 18 beta they added more customization features
One thing I hate is how much cell phone service providers messes up Android when it comes to Software updates. I understand that they have to make sure their apps are compatible with the update, but I feel like that should be up the user. I don’t use the apps that T-Mobile, AT&T and so on forces unto the device. I also don’t use a lot of the apps that Samsung installs on the devices. Most I can’t remove, usually have to disable them and try to hide them. Give us the option to install what we want during setups and delete what we don’t want.
Yeah that’s definitely a BIG issue with android, all the BS apps each provider and manufacturer puts in, wish they just kept it stock android
Can u name some offline apps for transfer of files , music , videos etc from Android to iOS and vice versa
Offline, I’m not sure of one. Sorry!
It's funny how all these iPhone lovers getting mad bc you pointing out the flaws in iOS. Everything you said was accurate imo. Great video
Thank you so much! Really appreciate it 🙌🏽
I have the iPhone 15 pro max and I’ve used Android phones on and off for years and I’ve got 2 say Google Pixel 8 Pro takes the best pictures but for videos I’d go with the IPhone 15 Pro Max I also had the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and I would of kept it if the phones face unlock was as good as Face ID but it’s not even close yes u have the under screen finger print reader but I don’t like that at all so I went back 2 IPhone
Yeah see there are definitely features that each of them have over the others, just about what you want at the end
So I want to go back to android Samsung but my problem is that I got my whole family to switch to IPhone and they love it but now I can not send pictures to them or revive pictures from them because they are always blurry .. what do I do ?
That is one of the biggest problems that does not have an easy solution, I’m sorry 😞
Apple announced they’re fixing this with the new iOS 18 in a few months
@@IceBlueLugia yeah I’m super excited for iOS 18!
My brain hurts after this video.
Whyyyy?
Still on my Fold 5 till iPhone 16 comes out, or will I on the Fold 6? 😅
Looking at Fold 6 from 5, id suggest you be mad to upgrade to Fold 6,
I Loved the fold, but the last one wasn’t really of an upgrade, i hope this year they bring something new to the table. Especially with iOS 18 bringing a lot of great features so it’s going to be interesting this fall
Something about that closing sound you say 👂🤔
😬😬😬
* Android - upto 120w charger.
* iphone - What is Watt ?
We earn more than Chinese. We sell 20w charger seperately for Rs 2,000. 😀😀
* iphone :
Same old notch ( now modified as "Dynamic island" ) , no charger in box, no 3.5 mm audio jack, no FM radio, no expandable memory card slot, one sim + one e-sim, usb type 'C' charging port only in latest 15 series from September 2023, only 60hz display in non pro iPhone 15 models.
🤔🤔
But, iphone is the best. 😀😀
@@sunilnathani3924 haha great points!! Agree to all of that! Can’t believe they held back on the fast charging even tho they now have USB-C. Also hate that apple started this trend of not including chargers and headphones then everyone else followed 😒
Swipe from the left of the screen to go back in most apps and in system menus …. Notes is one of the apps this gesture works in. I had Android for 13 years so… adopting iOS was an adjustment. 1:44
Thats good to know! There def is an adjustment and this kind of proves that it's not as easy to use or intuitive as people think 🙃
The fact that your android lagged to open the app switcher is insane 😅 also tbh i don’t get your point about the camera app settings you literally need to change them once in your life and if u need to change the video resolution there is a button in the camera app to do that , I don’t know why your carplay does that mine works fine with zero delay ( I used to be a Samsung user two and a half years ago and after using an iPhone I’m never switching back )
Haha i think that was a glitch! It didn’t seem like it lagged but that fold is old now too 😬
Yeah you are right the camera settings is probably something you only have to do once but it was just to point out how some of the user experience is overly complicated for no good reason.
I’m not sure about the CarPlay issue either but there has been an update to it since i recorded the video and it seems to have been working much better, not perfect but way better than the delays i got before
Appreciate you watching! 🙌🏽
There's a channel called system hacks , he does animation test to phones , find the latest animation test video and check my comment under the video i have timestamps wich show glitches from all 3 phones , so u know mistakes happen no phone is perfect.
I’ve used android products and apple products since the eMac computers. I’ve used many iPod touches, many iPhone versions, aaaaaand so many android devices. And I will say. iPhone is better. I have about 15 years maybe more experience with the two platforms
As much as I enjoyed android i do think iOS 18, if it delivers on all the features, will be the clear leader between the 2 operating systems
app switcher was the best feature!!!!!
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
As an android user that just got an iPhone 14 Pro Max ,hmmm, gonna confess ,iOS is so much better and so fluid but not that intuitive to use ,I prefer android navigation system but iOS is so much optimized and works so much better
They both definitely have their positives! Glad you are enjoying the switch!
Have the same phone and is absolutely hideous.
The screen issues, overheating, lagging all the time, the cameras are wack,8 gigabytes of ram and the list goes on and on.
I went back to my Motorola edge and didn’t experience many issues.
You forgot about nearby share :(
For iOS or android?
@@aliateeqvisuals nearby share/quick share is for android and if you're in the Samsung ecosystem it works(natively) just as seamless as airdrop for iOS
The thing that iOS annoys me is with file management. Sometimes I dont even know where's my downloaded file and how to attach it to email/msg. And I do think power efficiency & battery life is better on iPhones.
Such a good point!! The file management is def not optimized. The power efficiency is def better and i think that’s due to them making their own chips. I just wish they would also bring true fast charging, both wired and wireless
IOS is annoying in many other ways😂😂
Just that annoyed you? Just the apple logo annoys me🤷♂️
@@everstar8056 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@SKULLSKATE82 hahah
The new type C is the same charging speed with the lightning cable. What a waste.
They def could have added real fast charging but they didn’t 😒
intro was🎉
Thank you thank you! 🫶🏽
3:00 make no sence to close them at all actually
Why not?
@@aliateeqvisuals It’s recommended to close an app only when it works incorrectly or crashes (which still is a rare occasion). And this feature is used mostly to quickly switch between apps. Plus they say it’s more power efficient to not close your apps at all.

First, thanks for the video. Please, don’t close the apps that are background like you do on Android. It is a mistake to close those apps. IOS is different: to make the iphone faster and to save battery you leave it that way and on the settings you can control what apps can work background. I hope it answer your question
Ahhh good to know, thank you so much!! 👍🏽
It's what you get use to like most things in life. Use something for while and you'll adjust. Being analytical in side bybside adjustments and use cases only matters.
But the examples are fair.
Trying to get the GF 14pro to backup Google Photos more reliability we swapped phones for a bit (Moto Edge 30 Ultra). So the phones are exactly oh age and level almost to the day.
Both smooth and fast to use, she had no issue using once use to back gestures. I struggled a bit more with the inconsistency in navigation a bit etc but still managed. It's personal choice but on an analytical level as per the video there are some iPhone users that seem to just not have tried for a while, similarly with MacOS which use also at work at times. An adjustment but no better than Windows, we find it less stable at work
Why you only talk to iPhone users, you not think the discrimination comes both ways.
Stop being a hypocrite.
I’m confused on what you mean by this…
Fake accent.
What accent do you think I’m faking? 🙃
@@aliateeqvisuals Felt like you were trying to mimic the typical American accent.

Back button is a big deal for me. I don't think apple actually listen to his consumers.
Yeah that back button is so clutch!
you can just swipe from left to right anywhere on the screen for going back on ios lol
