Game jams are a super cool way of getting to know fellow developers and develop your own skills at the same time. It is great to see more and more game jams available every year. I myself have participated in some of them and it is just really cool to see people come together to create something amazing.

I've participated in 2 game jams before. One as the artist and the other one as everything except the composer. Also, hosting your own jam sounds like a great idea
Yes, you could try to host a jam with different concept. The theme could be an image, instead of a sentence for instance idk. And, 2 Weeks sounds good. It gives you 2 weekend for those Who work :)
Please host a GameJam and make it last like a month or two. I participated 2 of them only got to the idea stages though. I learned a bit of basic coding since then.
I did the GMTK Jam and Ludum Dare this year! 😄 Didn't get to finish our GMTK game but I made a devlog recently on my channel about finishing it post-jam if anyone would like to check it out 🙂 Game Jams are so much fun, definitely recommend it and would love to see an AskGameDevJam!!
It would definitely be on-brand for you guys to host a Game Jam. Encourage people to start and finish a project and learn from the experience. I think I'm doing my first game jam, with a bunch of local designers, this month. Wish me luck!
So far I only attended Ludum Dare sporadically, but I'm thinking of expanding my repoitoire of jams, since this is the environment where I become most productive, apparently
I have amazing ideas in my mind but I cannot put them on paper cuz I don't know how to draw. Plus I only know pygame which has so many limitations, and I can't even convert it into exe
4:20 eh ill pass on that one, dont want to be called a nazi because my game features nazis as playable characters. Not that my games would, but if it did... Not to mention, half the jam games would probably have microtransactions and lootboxes because according to them thats a good thing to have.

That's a pretty cool idea! We've never seen a game jam before where the theme was revealed via an image.
