i lost my father 6 months ago since then home will never be the same again 😢 im just here listening to this song while remembering the good old days with my dad.. miss you father 😢
I remember this song in 1979 when i was still in my first year high school days this song was very famous during those times. 43 years have passed but this song is still very alive and full of memories. This is the kind of a song that will never die somehow it is not bounded by time. A very beautiful song to listen to. Thanks for the composer and singer of this song. " I'm Coming Home "
I heard this song first on my radio. I was posted in a remote hilly area for long time. Now I'm 70 years old. But still it has been a nostalgic song and still love to listen. What a creation!❤❤❤
i will never forget this song. it reminds me of the lazy sunday afternoon mini bus rides with my late lola pepang from Pakil Laguna to Sampaloc Manila back in 1979 to 80's.
I was studying in Australia and missed home in Malaysia big time. Did not have the financial means for the air ticket. During this time, whenever they played this song on radio, I would feel very homesick. It was 1979 so the only ways I could communicate with my parents were through snail mails and the occasional (expensive) phone calls. I could certainly relate to the reference of phone calls in the song. Today after 42 years, when I hear this song, I still vividly recall that forlorn feeling. I will never forget this beautiful song.
Just listened to this song a while ago on TikTok and I immediately searched on RUclips and found this. Now I've been playing this song four or five times. Brings me back to my memories and old home and friends when I was a lil boy. Miss them all 😢 Today is Friday, August 9, 2024
Since 1980’s favorite ko na ang awiting ito , hangga ngayon lgi ko pa rin cyang pinapakinggan lalo ngayon nsa ibang lugar ako missed ko ng mkapiling ang aking mga mahal sa buhay , its very especial for me now and forever.... im coming home!!!!!
Very underrated song. This was a big hit in the Philippines. Living in California now & when we first went back home, I used this track for a homecoming video I made for my relatives. Great melody & harmonies, reminds me of the Bee Gees.

Hi! I was in my elementary years when this song is a big hit in the "FM Radio's", indeed this song is a "lullaby". Isa to sa mga Lullaby's ko, when my "Transistor Radio" ay magdamag naka-bukas, my other lullaby's is "Old Photographs" by Jim Capaldi, to'ng dalawa talaga hinihintay ko, na ipa-tug-tug ng mga Dj's, hindi kagaya ngayon na pindotin mo nalang sa "Smartphone" mo or sa "Computer" mo, pwede pa e-replay hanggang mag-sawa ka. Love to go back to the decade's 1980's and 1970's, I really missed (those) younger years. : )
@@CrankedUpReallyHigh1 Just an fyi. Filipinos are a kind of audience that is hard to please especially with singing, since a lot can sing. It is rather a compliment if a Filipino says a song could bring him to sleep because that would mean a song is so smooth and cool to listen, making him relaxed. This is a cultural thing and an idiom phrase that Filipinos use everyday if they hear a very good song.
In my top ten greatest hits of all time.Doesn't matter where I am I will pump up the volume and have a good listen. Two very talented and gifted musicians.

Mum
I'm coming home
So take my picture off the wall
I'm coming home
I've had enough of being alone
Dad
I'll see you soon
Don't keep me talking on the phone
You're wasting time
I've gotta move
I'm going home
Since I've been away
It gets harder everyday
I really have a lot to learn
She loved me at the start
Then she left and broke my heart
To my home I will return
Now I will come to you
Back to the only friends I know
You understand
Your love is true
I'm coming home
Since I've been away
It gets harder everyday
I really have a lot to learn
She loved me at the start
Then she left and broke my heart
To my home I will return
Now I will come to you
So take my picture off the wall
You understand
I've had enough
I'm coming home
Had enough and so I'm coming home
