95% of the time we set the sails & run on autopilot.

Excellent video. A refreshing approach focusing on the sailing and managing challenges. Great video for all, wives especially, to draw inspiration and confidence. Thank you for posting.

Arent Iglad I watched Episode No.1. Great sailing couple. I am very jealous. Great Sailin Women are hard to find. So lovely to watch and hear you guys work together. NIce the Covid was mostly gone before the Sht hit the fan. Still very impressive.
Your not wrong about the toughest and hardest country to check in to. In 14 years of cruising half way round. That Timber Inspection was a big deal. Precluded by a Labrador being first to board by Customs. Still the 4 years I spent there was wonderful. Cheers from Indonesia and I certainly was happy to Subscribe.

I hope to one day be half the sailor you are. You guys are cool as cucumbers under testing conditions, well done.

great video-- I am really looking forward to part 2. We'll be sailing in this area in the next year or two-- being sick must have been hell! well done to you both. Phil

Hey Phil. Pt 2 will have the ECL we sailed into. It got way over 50 knots and as it turned out, seas way over 5m. We were so lucky that we were most ill when the weather was best. Are you Phil from the O56?

@@sailingjaygo yeah, those winds and waves are scary- have been in slightly lower conditions and scared me silly. Not sure what 056 is-- I normally sail Pescott Catamarans

Ok. Different Phil!! 😂. The weather we ran into was easily the worst I have sailed in, in this area. Having said that, SE Qld is our local stomping ground so we know it well and would never go out in such a forecast if there was an alternative. It was not fun at all.
      Rob.
PS. Covid was (for me) way worse than I expected. Dee handles Jaygo like a dinghy! Single handing a 53’ for best part of 3 days without a single complaint and without hitting a single reef or container ship! Happy Days!

@@sailingjaygo We'll be sailing a Northshore 46 so smaller that your boat and not with the amazing cockpit protection you have. I too try and avoid those East Coast Lows when possible. it seems the loads on your boat are manageable in big winds for one person?

Jaygo is built like a tank but you still have to be mindful of the enormous loads of course. Amels are very well designed for single-handing. 👍

А парусами кто нибудь вообще управляет ?! Или лодка сама плывёт ?! 😂

I would say it is not about gender, but more about who Dee is. She is an amazing woman. Rob.

Yes, but as men always think, women are not as resilient. The comment was intended as a compliment
