I'm so glad I found your video. I'm in Jersey also with a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited. I want to pu it to work. I wan to start off just like this until i can work my way up to a bigger vehicle and trailer.
Great videos. Please keep them coming. Last video, you’ve mentioned the total mileage driven. Your rate was $1.25 / mile. This video you’ve mentioned your total gain, but not the mileage. Good luck with your adventures.
@richiebay11 I work with whoever hires me......I like dealers because most of the time getting in and is easy..... going to warehouses sometimes there's a line of trucks dropping and there's a wait
New subscriber to your channel. I like the content & the concept of what you’re doing. I’m down south and I wanted to ask is your truck a regular Silverado truck or is it a heavy duty truck
F150 is fine for a 1car trailer, I would stick to small and mid sized vehicles. An occasional bigger might be ok but I'd shy away from bigger vehicles......I personally believe there are better trailer prices in PA than NJ
Thank you for this video definitely looking to start this business. Is it as easy as it looks get truck get trailer and start hauling . Is business name and such important??
It's easy but got to treat it as a business, try to be prepared for problems and be as organized as possible, DOT number (not MC number if you small like me) truck, trailer, business name and business bank account
Google your trucks tow capacity not sure but I think my trailer is approximately 1500-2000lbs, average mid size car 3500lbs larger cars approximately 5000lbs, so if your tow capacity is close to 10,000lbs you should be ok
In addition to pickup insurance, do you also need to have trailer insurance? What information do you share for anyone looking to get started with just a car trailer?
Have you ever had a problem with the costumer when you strap down through the rim? I'm a fellow single car hauler just starting out and I've heard that strapping through the rim is just asking for an insurance claim...
Insurance claim? Never heard that before, in my opinion thru the rim is the 2nd safest nxt to over the axel. But to answer your question no was never questioned about it
@@mdavisvideo Good to know! Maybe I should go back to doing that. I prefer through the rim and really hate using lasso straps over the top of tires....just doesn't look secure to me, especially when I see that 2" of roll when stopping and going
@@mdavisvideo I just a quote same set up as yours 2011 Silverado hd diesel, Kaufman single car and my quote was 3,200 down and 1,400 per month here in Northern California. This quote is from Geico. Progressive won’t even quote me due to my business is new.
