Loaded west point this past monday, thank goodness for them golf carts!!
Haha yea it’s a big yard. I put a post on fb one day of my hunting app that tracks your walking. I was there on a Sunday so no golf carts or shuttle van so I walked the whole yard. I think it was like 6.3 miles of actual walking I was turning the tracking off when I was driving back to my truck.
Dannggg and I was trying to get in at the West Point terminal, that’s a lot of walking
It is a huge yard but they have a ton of work and they tend to be good at keeping loaded
@@CarcarrierTv I’m hoping they can get home daily work outta there, they said I’m regional from Birmingham if I pass my interview today
According to your explanation, the car hauling industry is behaving the same way as the dry van, reefer and flatbed industries.
Capacity is bigger than the amount of loads; consequently, big carriers have enough equipments to move their contract rates loads.
People that depend on spot market (Load boards) are experiencing a big loss in their revenues because spot rates are very low. i am able to see all the load boards.
I agree with you, this is the time to get experience in the car hauling industry and joining a great company like United Road. Also we have to have our fingers crossed that this lack of loads pass quickly.
Thank your for your video. It was very informative and helpful.
Yes spot on. I think work will kinda hold at these levels for about a year or so. I think the new and used car markets are gonna teeter back and forth for a bit. So right now we are filling dealers back up with new cars and as those sell they will begin to fill up with used. So right now the new car market is strong because the dealers need new cars but the used markets have tanked because they need the used cars so they aren’t sending much to auction. But as everything fills up in 6 months the new car market will slow because they will be keeping up with sales not restocking and used will begin to rise because the dealers will be stocked with used and will start moving the extras to auction. And it will go back and forth like that for the next year or two until the economy rebounds and then cars will start flying off the lots again.
I agree with you!!
One thing that I like about car hauling is that I wouldn't need to deal with groceries receivers or Shipper. I know that dealership can be a pain the butt too. But you have more control since you load and unload the freight(cars). I have been watching your videos more than one time. They are very interesting. I have been driving since 2011 with no preventable accidents or citations. I think there is money to make in the car hauling industry. When everything is good. You can make money everywhere you go. Dry van, reefer, tanker and flatbed.
One thing that I like is to be an independent contractor.(IC). I like freedom even though freedom comes with responsibility. I have been an (IC) since 2013.
I will continue watching your videos.
Thank you,
One question,
How is the freight around the Carolinas? I live in Charlotte, NC.
Thank you,
United has a ton of freight around nc from carmax going in and out to new cars going to nc
Mmmm marysville roosters... love that place
Nice vídeo, from Brasil
We have contract freight, but we use other carriers for backhauls,if they get too bad we will just deadhead back, our contract freight is slammed right now,and it pays enough for us to come back empty
I want and will join United Road...need a few more months of driving experience, I currently work for PFG(food service). I am a rookie driver(4 months).
I talked to a recruiter in February and was told I needs 6 months of experience, I did do the online application and used you as point of reference.
Awesome thank you which recruiter did you talk to. And also when you start the actual process of coming over let me know. I love to hear when ppl get into car hauling whether here at United or anywhere else. It’s a fantastic industry that you can make a great living for your family doing it
Hru, happy 4th 🇺🇸 to you and your loved ones.
The recruiter I spoke with was Martha.
What is the best contact for you, is it thru email? I have questions and also would want to tell you my vision/goals and how car hauling will make reach them.
Just wondering, since it looks like you have to take some cars off and put them back on again. Is that due to the weight restrictions, since not all of the ones you take off are going to that lot necessarily?
Not normally for me it has a lot to do with hauling 10 cars. When I do that I have to have specific types of vehicles in specific spots to make height
I got My app in with You as a reference... The recruiter said I have to wait for a trainer from Alabama or Georgia to get back to their terminal. I live in Miami, FL. I wanted to run out of the Jacksonville terminal because I don't want to pay state taxes in Georgia or Alabama! She said Jacksonville is only owner ops. My question is do owner ops train that run out of Jacksonville? Does Alabama have state taxes? I know Georgia does!
Honestly I don’t know but I will say at the end of the year you just file to get that money back. It’s a pretty simple process. I do it with ga because Tennessee doesn’t have started taxes either. Also thank you for using me as your referral if you do get on out of West Point ga Brunswick ga I’m sure I’ll see you around.
I'm working out of canton, al but live in Florida, I don't pay any state taxes
Thanks for the info... All I can do now is wait! & @Aaron, She said there is one in Montgomery, Alabama she is watching for trainers to come back to.
If I live in the Greenville area, South Carolina, can I find a work schedule like yours, every weekend at home?
Hey What’s up? I spoke with a recruiter earlier today. And she told me to check out your content she gave me a lot information and I was wondering if I could speak with you briefly to get some more info from a driver perspective. Thanks!
Yes shoot me an email and I’ll be more then happy to try to give you all the info I have. What area are you trying to work out of
@@CarcarrierTvwhat’s your email? And I’m in South Carolina.
If it doesn’t come through my email is in the description of all of my videos. But it’s carcarriertv@gmail.com
@@CarcarrierTv ok, I just emailed you.
Why back your, I’m assuming, #2 car?
I load 10 frequently and we always drive that unit.
I’ve just found it easier to make height over the hood then the truck of the car.
What is better dogde 550 whit 5 car o semi truck day cab whit 5 car o 6 car ?
Semi all day long. They’re the same price and the truck will run 200k maybe and the semi a mil plus
If it’s not a secret, what kind of income can you expect per month, on average?
It’s no secret I tend to average $9000-$12,000 a month
hi, can you tell me what your work schedule is??
Depends where you live but for me I work Monday through Friday
What terminal are u out of if u don't mind me asking
I’m out of the West Point Georgia terminal
I have a ? For you pal, I talking with one of your locations and they only run local, I didn't really get a clear understanding of how the pay works for local is it possible to shed some light on it..Thanks great videos
Yes I can do my best to help what are you wondering about it
@@CarcarrierTv okay so is the bonuses each month still apply, and is it strictly percentage pay, also is there breakdown pay, or delay pay
@@CarcarrierTv also what is the scheduled work week for local and do you get holiday off and do they pay holidays and vacation..thanks bro
@seenplay79 it’s all percentage pay plus monthly bonuses and yes they have breakdown pay
@seenplay79 the schedule is what you want it to be. As long as you hit your numbers your work week is what is gonna work best for you. And yes you get holidays off if you want to take them
