- Testing out new switch axe set. Got hit way too much and probably should have kept going for sub 5 but Iceborne grinding is making me tired and lazy :p. Was trying some Valstrax earlier but that didn't go so well

JFlowZen Yeah! Elderfrost with challenger is a beast even if you drop to to blue sharpness it’s still pretty strong! Glad you like the set 😁

Ugh good luck! I just finally got a tenderizer +6 ooo (wanted it for a couple sets) after killing Brachy like 700-800 times. Not a fan of the ridiculous grind lol
1:40 this attack hitbox is broken as ever, i didnt notice it in GU (i always thought old gen hitbox is pretty bad anyway even tho its not except the 1st and 2nd gen) until it struck me in mid air in mhrise
Arguably the worst hitbox I have ever seen in rise.
im learning SA right now i just love it but i have yet to know what I am doing, i only tried adept so far is it that bad? I ve been using ECECE set. For a starter do you think other style are more efficient and adding some evasion too?
Unless you’re super pro I would definitely say use an evasion skill. My favourite general use set is probably full old fatalis with Mantis SA. Gets you 1k defense when fully upgraded. With a +4 weakness exploit 3 slot or +4 sharpness 3 slot charm, you can get weakness exploit, crit boost, crit eye 3, razor sharp, fleet feet (evade extender + peak performance). Evasion +1 or 2 are very good too. Striker or alchemy are normally used because demon riot is very strong! Even if you have to waste a skill on evasion it will still be stronger than adept. Hope this helps
@@caolanberg3837 Is the silverwind armor worth it to make? Or are mixsets always superior? Problem is that i dont have a good charm to make good builds.
@@sirgando3774 Silverwind armor is good! A lot of people use it with Hellblade SA. Be sure to add in weakness exploit or repeat offender (95% crit everywhere with energy charge 3). The damage will be a little lower but with the evasion skills you’re pretty much invincible 😄. If you’re getting hit at all or having trouble sticking to the monster I’d say it’s worth it. Not used much in speedruns but great for casual play or multiplayer

No prob! Good charms are stupid hard to get in this game, glad you got one! I eventually got my time a lot faster with striker, and later realized valor is actually way better for this matchup 😁

Christopher P Lol I’ve SEEN you dodge some! Have evasion +1 here but his roars are pretty easy to dodge without evasion. They’re so slow, once you practice a bit and get the timing down it’s easy. It’s those instant Anjanath roars in World that always get me when I’m mid attack 😥

Fenix 23 Nah those are fine. Health -10 isn’t that bad either. You really do want to fit in Crit boost any way you can though it adds a ton of damage

I hate the iceborne grind, the RNG behind grinding lands and hoping investigations are the ones you want really puts me off.
Daniel Rego I hate it too. As a parent who also works a lot I can only play about 5 hours/week. All I do is grind for MR levels/decos and I still feel like I’m never getting anywhere. And sometimes there will be a really good event quest but I’ll miss it cause I won’t be able to play for a week.
It’s frustrating because I think the gameplay is awesome! Might just say fuck it and start doing some runs even though my gear is terrible. Or maybe even play a game that actually isn’t MH and doesn’t require extreme grinding 😮
4th gen and mhrise is probably the best when it comes to minimum grinding imo, they dont need obnoxious amount of materials for equipments like in 1-3rd gen, the only shit thing about 4th and 3rd gen is their stupid charm, the good thing is you don't need really good charm for most of the time. Mhw have their deco/stream stone and guiding land grind, mhrise have anomaly grind, but honestly, theyre not that important except for the armor augment which isnt grindy if youre not looking for a specific skill.
I honestly really hate grinding in FU because i dont feel rewarded everytime i kill a monster. I mean you need to at least kill 5 A monsters and another 5 B monsters to get a single weapon upgrade and another 15 kill monsters to get a full set of C armor set.
Mh rise is really great for people who enjoy the fight more rather than the grind.
