- Sub 4 hype :D. Iceborne beta is over (wasn't really able to play that much RIP) so back to GU and my Astalos obsession LOL. Kinda got screwed over by that ledge, so this definitely could've been faster. Slowly getting better at this switch axe thing. Sub 3 one day, maybe :p

This was such a cool run! I love how you stayed at low health for the last half of it, crazy risky plays. Especially that stagger at 3:39. Looking forward to more rise stuff 😊
Just gotta risk it sometimes for that good time! PS it doesn’t always pay off and I definitely die sometimes 😂. Super excited for Rise, will be playing Switch Axe mostly. Can’t wait to try out Magnamalo this weekend probably the monster I’m most excited for in the game 😁

Nice run, those sidestep evades at the start were beautiful.
Also, never thought about using Alchemy for the moveset only. I've always avoided this style because of the barrel management 😔.
I have been trying alchemy HH solely because it's hard and not great 😂😂😂

Troy Dickenson Thanks! Switch axe takes a bit more practice than other weapons I think, but it’s totally worth it! I gotta get back to using it again, it’s been awhile 😀
I'm just getting back into this game after playing mhw, and I am just terrible at the switch axe lol. Would you have any tips for someone who sucks? xD
Troy Dickenson There’s no shame in using evasion +1/2 or evade extender, I almost always use one of those for fights I haven’t practiced a lot. Using the lock on helps a lot too so the monster is always centered in front of you so you can always see exactly what they’re doing. Other than that just practice mostly 😀

What's the point of running alchemy if you don't use the barrel. Genuinely interested, not hating
For the double slash in sword mode. It’s better for stun locking his head than the vertical slash with striker, while still having the 3 arts. I didn’t get any long stunlocks here but it’s possible to get 20+ hits to his head in a row without him moving if you’re able to get the positioning and timing just right

You got hit a fair bit too. Sub 3:30 seems inevitable if you fix these hiccups imo
Deaga Funny that I had my max potion as my item but had zero intention of using it lol. Will get on that better run, here goes a second batch of 100 attempts lol!
So I tried this a few more times and no sub 3:30. Probably gonna move on. Not worth my sanity... I think 🤪

Totally! I was hoping I didn’t get called a cheater for using heroics actually lol, the super low health was purely an accident and I’m amazed I didn’t die from another chip damage hit. Not a perfect run, but probably the most epic one I’ve done, almost died so many times 😆
