- Thunderlord Zinogre is among my favorite deviants to fight. This monster is a serious challenge for many, it has gigantic hitboxes, huge damage, and some odd speed-shifts in its moveset that can trick players.
TL isn't without flaws though. When Supercharged, it is still much slower than usual for a Zinogre, and is particularly weak to its back legs. TL Zinogre also strangely loses some parts of its moveset when it gets Supercharged, such as the iconic Zinogre back slam.
MHXX and MHGU really are the only games in the series where I played every weapon (with the exception of Lance) for a good chunk of uses. Even Charge Blade and Switch Axe which are normally weapons I find completely uninteresting ; I still found myself having a lot of fun with Aerial and Striker Switch Axe, and I think that Valor Charge Blade is actually one of my favorite playstyles.
Striker Switch Axe is still very heavy on only using Sword Mode which is a little boring at times, you won't see me using Axe mode a single time here... But I do like the Switch Axe's sword mode gameplay in general ; having the moving speed of a Great Sword but in exchange having better rolls and actual combos is something I like a lot.

My biggest issue with this game is how little fanfare it gets. pre-World discussion is pure 4U. Glad to see this game get some love

I feel the mh4u days were the best days for mh as a whole and personally its the goat mh, i think they went too far on the special moves and stuff after that game and the handheld situation didnt help.
@@Deadlyloltheguyofwow 4u is my favorite too. I'm just tired on how it dominates oldgen discussion, epecially after 5th gen galvanized all oldgen discussion into being about how different it was. 4u is the quintessential "old" monster hunter game so its the only one brought up in those discussions. 4000 ingame hours + many spent on youtube for 4U has left me wanting something else. Thats why I appreciate the MHGU video here.

This guy was very tricky for me with a lot of weapons. It's like one small mistake and you're screwed with slower weapons. Also recall liking its high-rank moveset/combo's a little better but don't remember why lol

its emulated, lynn is not playing on switch
you can still get 60fps, on modded switch btw. definitely worth it, if you have an old enough switch, considering how easy it is nowadays.
