Protection of the leather on the dashboard for the C7 and C8 Corvettes is very important. There is a lot of information out there showing how the leather will "shrink" and pull away from the dash which ends up being a costly repair. This is an easy way to fix it! 👍👍
The installer is much more important than the specific brand of the ceramic film. That said this stuff REALLY works. I have it on my 19 GS. You can touch the dash after it’s been in the sun in a parking lot all day and the dash temp is nearly ambient. Save the dash and keeps the car much cooler inside.
Good day Justin; awesome content featuring your beautiful ZR1; keep doing the right thing, by having Josh and the crew at Blackout Tinting protect your baby; take care !
Great video as always! Quick question: Will the interior film have any adverse effect on the HUD (Heads Up Display) reflection? I've heard mixed reviews of other similar products so I'm curious about this one. Thanks!
UV deterioration is a significant issue here in AZ and therefore this product is yet another great idea. Thanks for sharing. Btw, lest you forget, I've been keeping a running tally on how much $ you've convinced me to spend so far. ;)
Oo Justin man im loving the tint but i have a question about what gives the front window that blue tint? From Justin to Justin. Im a 7sp manual c7 owner to brother👍👍
Love your videos. One concern about the windshield tint. Where does all of the soapy water go as they are applying the film?Seems that it would have no where to go except behind the dash. I’m excited about the exterior film. In the rare case that i would need to use the wipers, will it mark the film? Keep up the great work. Always bet on black!!!
Some installers go beyond using just microfiber ropes and towels lining the dashboard. Some will also locate any electronics under the dash that are exposed and susceptible to water damage and then they will cover those parts with microfiber towels.
Enjoy your video contents. As far as your stickers you apply them to the plastic seal stuff the sell at office supply stores like Staples.Apply the face of the stickers to the adhesive side, trim excess and then just apply them in correct area. I do this in my Caddy whenever the stickers need to be placed and replaced. Thinking about doing my '19 Grand Sport at Black Out Tinting with Josh even though I live in Brooklyn, NY.
I appreciate it, my friend. I would highly recommend doing exactly that. Even though it's a bit of a trip, it's worth it in the end. Don't find out which detail shops you can trust the hard way like I did. Go to the one that you CAN trust and never look back. If you come to Blackout, tell them HorsePower Obsessed sent ya! I'm there pretty often so maybe we can meet up when you drop it off.
@@HorsePowerObsessed pity in south africa we can't find anybody that can do proper windscreen protection. Everything is from china. Last 6 to 8 weeks then you can't see anything throughout your windscreen. Thanks for all the updates i like your you tube channel.
I've looked and looked into windshield protection, and everything I've read talks about permanent scratches and buff marks from wipers. They say it has to be replaced every so often. Sounds like it has to be replaced almost every year or maybe a bit more. Didn't you encounter scratches from your wipers, or maybe you don't use your wipers? I'd love something on my windshield, but I don't want to have to replace it every year or so.
The wipers will scratch it eventually and it totally depends on how often the car is driven and whether or not it is garage kept. I had ceramic coating put on top of it to make sure that the windshield wipers hardly ever have to be used for this exact reason.
@@HorsePowerObsessed Yes, that was my concern. I've always used something on my windshield and rarely use wiper except in slow going stop n go traffic. I may still have to go this route. You know our windshields (I have C7) get hit all the time with rocks. All the time!!
Tints that don't contain metallic particles typically do not adversely affect radar detection. However, metallic window tint can. As far as laser detection it can be affected by tinting depending on the visible light transmission level of the tint since it can reduce the intensity of the laser beam.
Hi Justin, do you know if the interior film reduces windshield fogging? In my experience if you install a film inside a helmet shield it reduces fogging.

This isnt a fix, this is showing a way to help prevent.
Looks great. I’ve had all of my Z06s done like that. But here in Fla where I live much less expensive.
It definitely needs done!
Josh is the TINTING PIMP! Love this!
He is very good at what he does.
hahaha 🤣🤣
This is a great option. I had 80% ceramic installed on the inside and it really helped with heat too!
Definitely! Anything to keep the UV rays off that leather!
Agreed about blackout. I have had good and bad installs. It matters who you use. Definitely need a good installer like Blackout.
Definitely!

great work car looks great with the tint, wish california allowed front window tinting of actual windshield
Thank you.

While installing the tint they use towels and a special microfiber rope to absorb the water as it’s being pushed out.

Great video....the resolution and sharpness is amazing....
Thank you!
Justin, have you made a video on how to clean the engine bay of a C7? Just picked up my 2015 Z06 last week, and want to keep it looking fresh. Thanks!

Window condoms??? Mmm. Probably not.
Lol what?

we have a recondtioning shop, can you tell me what the film cost and what you charge a customer or dealer. thanks
Looks great boss, but why doesn't your speedo work on your six figure car?
It does... Why do you think it doesn't?
Hey since when did you care about valid inspection stickers?!?! 😄
You be quiet! 🤣🤣
In your defense based on the greenery and they had to be getting close to being expired anyway 😆
They were! 🤣
Hi Justin I just got a 2016 z06 how do you get your display to look like that. I’ve been trying to find it but I can’t
Check this video out here: ruclips.net/video/JjuhHU5XQUQ/видео.html
Thanks for the reply I meant like how you can see your tire pressure gauges that way in the track display. On my car it looks way different
GM actually changed the layout of track mode for cars that were 18s and newer.
Ohh ok I figured because mines is a 16 that I didn’t have it

Great question. I haven’t noticed to be honest. I’ll keep an eye on it, though.
Love the clear tint can you send me your link so I can buy the black bow ties
Yes sir! You can get them here: www.horsepowerobsessed.com/products/blackout-bow-tie-vinyl
You'll love it Dave. I got them last in 2020. Because it's so small you wouldn't think it, but it makes it look so different.
It really does! It’s insane how something so small makes such a giant difference.
I think it’s absolute ridiculous your state makes you put a big giant ugly inspection sticker on your windshield. Ridiculous.
Agreed. Maybe someday we can get past that.
