- The Turbo Slap-Top Cajon is designed to bring the striking surface up nearer to the player, for a more upright playing style. The sound projects forward into the audience! This cajon is slightly bigger for more volume and it comes with snares on both sides. The snares also feature a forward sound projection.

Hey Mrs Camilla , I too am a drummer, which hasn't sat behind a kit in 15 plus years, but I do have myself a Ktak and some practice pads, and some other hand drum paraphernalia. My question is how to go bout finding, some other interested, musicians or a drum circle, Tht meets weekly, bi-weekly, monthly anything. I'm recent lost my 15yr old daughter and this is 1 of the 3 things tht has helped me stop back sliding.. thnx ahead of time..

Do you think the Slaptop Cajon with internal pickups compromises the basic acoustic sound? for example, if you were playing at home with a guitar player etc. By the way, I think your Son is born to be a percussionist, some real raw talent there!

The slap top is awesome! I'm sometimes a bit leery of quirky designs--companies have to keep coming up with new things to sell, right?--but I instantly fell in love with a slaptop when I started to play it.

When my pastor found out I play drums, he recruited me to rehearse with our pianist while playing the existing 5-piece drum set. However, the drums are far too loud for a single piano. But wait ... on the platform was something I had never seen before ... a Meinl turbo-slap with a 1/4 inch output port. It's just the thing for a small chuch with only a single piano or a few guitars. Now I wonder if I can talk my pastor into buying a stomp box ...
This is exactly the endorsement I was looking for. I'm the worship leader for a small church in SLC and would love to include percussion into our worship but the drum set we have, like you said, is far too loud for the current venue and congregation we have. Thank you! God bless

I found your video on the slap top Cajon. I just received one and I'm planning to use it with my church band. I'm curious how to mic the instrument. I don't see any direct mic hook up so would I just place a mic in front while I'm playing?

I recently purchased the laptop cajon and really love it but I have issues with it sliding off my lap while playing. Any suggestions?
Yes i have the same issue. I usually will try to sit lower and that has helped. Sitting to high causes it to slide i noticed.
I saw a guy use a strap around the front below the snare port holes and it connected to his belt loop. Could use bungee straps or anything really that could be tightened around your waist.
