Well done, Reid! I'm redoing my carpeted stairs, looked up a variety of skirt board installation...and your method (creating a template) is by far the most logical and simply easier than the variety of 'measuring' methods I found on RUclips. So, THANK YOU for sharing your experience...
Wow, that turned out really nice. I'm going to use that technique on the outside face of a stairwell where i have to scribe a board and batten around the protruding stair treads. This will be very helpful.
That looks excellent! I watched a bunch of these videos on stair skirts and your way looks totally doable. I put down new treads and risers and have been hung up on finding a way to do the skirts on both sides of my stairs. Thank you for posting this, I'm going to try it out.
Great job. Very happy with your results. I noticed your molding at the very top didn’t go across because of the traffic. I like the thin layer under that was a great touch. I am referring to the very top of the stairs. I like how you pulled that part off. Good stuff. You deserve many subs.
I like the template idea! I just ripped the carpet off my stairs and would love to have stair skirt. My stairs have an landing 1/3 of the way down because they turn, but this is definitely helpful! Subscribed!
I watched so many videos trying to figure this out and it figures it's a woman that explains it to me better than any of the other ones. It seems like that happens to me every time. I think women just explain things a little better sometimes.
Leave it to us 💪🏾 I combined a bunch of different techniques that I found online. Some that worked and some that didnt to create this. It works. Glad you feel the same!
@@storieddesign_withCorbinReid It worked perfectly, I got it put on yesterday. My wife liked it so much she's wanting me to do the rest of stairs ...not sure if that's a good or a bad thing 😬 thanks again and have a great day.
Thanks so much for this! SO helpful. My wife and I LOVE your videos and kind demeanor.

This is exactly what I needed! What is the width of the MDF board you use?
Great idea Corbin. What size MDF boards did you use?
Thx u! I think they were a 1x8x8
What was the paint color?
How wide is the wood

I would have cut the bullnose off at the thickness of the skirt
Buen trabajo... pero NO MUESTRAS COMO CORTAS LA MADERA EN LAS CURVAS DE CADA PELDAñO...LO MAS IMPORTANTE DIRIA.
