Been a tech for 20 years and just started my hvac business. We all know Home warranty suck but unfortunately that’s where I’m getting calls until I get a bigger customer data base and more cash flow to advertise. What are the best Home warranty to work for that pay the best. I’m use to flat rate pricing and don’t like the idea of charging by the hour to the home warranty company’s. Any info would be helpful thanks.
I've been working on getting my business up and running in central VA and it's discouraging navigating the red tape they make you go through now to own and operate a business. Insurance requires a Contractors License, Contractors License requires a Business license, Business License requires a contractor's license and insurance. It's a Circle you chase and most Local Commissioners or those at the DPOR give little to no advice on tying it all together.

Great question. Starting from scratch is definitely a grind. And you also have to create all the systems as you grow. However, definitely do your homework and have a lawyer involved before signing any documents with a franchise. I think they both have their pros and cons.
Thanks for your time and insight! I have my EPA Universal Certificate and really want to start my own Brand. If you could help with direction to growth groups that would be greatly appreciated, Thanks again!
@@NewHVACGuide This isnt even a complete comprehensive guide on how to start a company like this from the ground up lol. Love the content, very excited to get started myself.
This was informative. He said nothing to discourage new HVAC companies. Heating and air can be a life and death thing if you don't know what you're doing. I watched my brother educate himself and meet all the requirements. He worked hard and he's highly intelligent. It's not for the easily discouraged.
This is more than I expected thanks for the tips 😃👍

Excellent video
Would love to hear more of your advice
Where do you get contracts for maintenance programs
Thanks for the info!
Is it wise to buy a franchise or can just start on my own?

But the problem with franchises is that you have to follow their rules and you cannot change them unless you have permission witch is doubtful
So you sold to PE company?
