- Real DMV driving test in Rosenberg, Texas 2019. Straight video coverage for parallel parking, reverse driving and city drive with couple of left and right turn.
Tips: Every 8 to 10 seconds keep an eye on rear mirror, driver side mirror and passenger side mirror to check the blind spot and vehicle who follows you from behind.
Guys ima tell yall what nobody tells yall, the test is 100x easier than u think, but i dont blame yall, the unknown of the future can make us nervous, i had mine yesterday and i passed it with ease, feels like i would’ve passed it with my eyes closed, im in texas and that test was easy, although the parallel parking could be scary its actually easier than u think because the poles are pretty far apart from eachother , and then from there the driving part itself is EASY, all u need to focus on is both hands on wheel, good control of the vehicle, signal lights , FULL stop at stop signs and looking left to right when turning on stops and also stay on the same lane that u turned in, if ur taking a left turn at a stoplight, make sure you stay on the left lane after the left turn, same for right, u got this it’s literally so easy

i take mine tomorrow hopefully i dont get too nervous lol

@@toxmist I did my test yesterday and completely bombed the parallel parking portion of it lol. I was super nervous and made a lot of mistakes, best thing to do is to just make sure you stay calm and collected
7/1/2023 - My son took his driving test at the Rosenberg DMV MegaCenter about a week ago and his route was slightly different. I was going to move the dashcam to the car in which he took his test, but I totally forgot about it. His route below:
1. Exited the DMV on the back side of the building (Left on Rice)
2. Right turn on First St
3. Right on Brooks Ave
4. Left on Third St.
5. Right on Main Ave
6. Right on Fourth St
7. Right on Brooks Ave
8. Left on Third St.
9. Right on Mons Ave
10. Left on First St
11. Left at Callender St back into the parking lot of the DMV office (WARNING: speed limit in this parking lot is 5mph, and its posted in several locations. It seems ungodly slow when your driving, but make sure you don't go any faster). It would suck to fail your driving test at the very end for "speeding" through the parking lot. Most parking lots in Texas are 10mph.
Thank you George, very illustrative and great example for those who will take the test for the first time
this helped me a lot , i took my test today and passed.

I failed on my first attempt. I'm still learning English, just because I'm not fluent I was scared, when I drove I was freaking out. I wanted to make everything perfect, no mistakes, don't make that same mistake. Just do your best and always drive defensively. Today I made my second attempt, I was determined not to do perfect, but to just do the best I could, so I passed. Good luck, you can do it! 🍀😊

@@yutahasswag8762 internet says you have 3 attempt to pass the test in 90 days. So no worry just have the daily habit of driving your car also take your car to DPS location during the weekend and drive around to make yourself comfortable before you go for the actual test.
@@georgesn2349 ty I passed
I am taking mine next week, I hope the instructor will be just as nice, and the road similar.
i take mine tmrw, wish me luck!! Update: I passed!! I'm going to answer a few questions that I had leading up to this whole process, that couldn't quite get answered. (These answers will all pertain to this specific DPS, I'm not sure about if they are applicable to others)
1. Can I use a new car? (which means no registration/inspection sticker and no permanent license plates)
a. Yes you can use a newly purchased car. However, you need to have Dealer's plates on the front or back (mine was on the back) that are not expired. You will also need proof of insurance for the car, I printed out an insurance card. I was able to input my car information through my insurance online , and print it out from there.
2. Will I take this exact route?
a. Yes and no. I say yes because I believe if the turn had not been missed in this video, then they would have taken the route that I did. However, I say no because the route in this video was slightly altered, therefore it was not the exact route that is given. But the official test was relatively the same. Essentially, you most likely will end up turning in all the places he did only adding a few more turns, in the end. But, I highly recommend memorizing this route because although I did end up having a few more turns I was comfortable and familiar with the streets.
3. Do they use both sets of cones for parallel parking?
a. Yes they do. For some reason this was a factor that I was really stressing about until I started practicing with both. Although they use both, I primarily saw them using the front two cones (the orange and yellow), so you definitely want to practice on both. I found that practicing early Sunday morning or late Sunday night were the best times, for those were the times that barely anyone was there.
4. Do they test to see if you know the inside of your car?
a. Yes, they do, however it's not too in depth. They test your turn signals (front and back) , horn, and brake lights (back). Of course, it doesnt hurt to ensure that you know the other parts of your car as well like your headlights, windshield wipers, defrosters, emergency parking brake, and emergency/hazard lights.
5. Do I need proof of residency?
a. This was another thing that I was stressing about, but they didn't even ask for it. Even though it wasn't on the list of required documents, I wanted to bring it just in case. They do hand you a form that you should look familiar from when you filled it out to get your permit prior to your license , it is called a Texas Residency Affidavit. On the back it says that you need 2 of the following documents listed below, but in the end they didn't ask for a lot of the things that were on the list. If you did not get a permit prior to testing for your license because you were old enough to skip that step, or for whatever reason it may be, I would highly advise you bring all of the documents on the DL checklist and then some.
6. Does my designated parent-instructor have to be there or can it be my other parent?
a. This was a question that I was unable to get a full answer to, but no they do not have to be there as long as they have signed all of the necessary papers. We got there early to make sure that he (my dad was my instructor) had signed all of the papers and they said they really only needed his license, and as long as he signed the driving certificate and put his license number in all of the required places, he was good. All of which he did before the date, so he was able to leave right after.
I hope this was able to clarify a few questions some people may have in the future, leading up to their test date. Overall, it was very quick and efficient once it all started moving. The actual test went by really easy, and my instructor was really nice, so it lessened my nerves, especially with the parallel parking. I scheduled my appt for 340, checked in at 310, got in the car line to wait for my instructor to come out at 340 and started my test around 350-355. I finished around 420 and waited for them to bring me my license, officially leaving around 435-440. It was quick and nowhere near as stressful as I would have thought, despite the rush hour traffic.
Good luck to anyone this might have helped!!
Feel free to ask any other questions you have and I'll try to answer them to the best of my ability!
All the very best 👍🏻
@@georgesn2349 Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much!

That was a long red light from 7:00 to 8:20. It was as if it wanted you to wait long on purpose so you can forget the right of the way to fail. I am glad you held it together under pressure. God Bless.
I have to go take a driving test today so thanks for your video because now I really know what it's going to be like been years since I've taken one good job buddy
I don’t know why but I’m scared about the speed limit. I don’t live in the area so it’s different from what i’m used to. From what. could see, was the speed limit 45 on the main road and around 20 in the neighborhood?
So on highways, and more major roads the limit is anywhere from 40-70, in residential areas the limit is 25 if there is no sign stating that you can go faster. In towns, the limit is usually from 30-50. Take this advice with a grain of salt however as it is not the same everywhere
I like how this lady driver was nice yet assertive. Sometimes, the female drivers tend to be on the tough side because they feel they have a lot to prove. I thought you was going to fail @ 3:45, but I am glad she brushed it off quickly as if nothing happened. Other examiners might have freak out if you messed a turn. It might have been your nerves that made you miss the turn. Glad you passed. Congratulations. God Bless.
A lot to prove? Dude, it’s literally their job to be mindful and attentive of how safe the kids are driving. The fact that you associate women with having to prove themselves shows how little you view of them…
@@momay2670 I didn't mean it that way. I have a lot of love and respect for ladies. I am just saying since road testing might be considered a man dominated profession and for the women to be take seriously, they may come across as cold and stringent toward the tester. If you dont believe please watch the road test videos. Some of the female examiners maybe extra tough when the drivers are doing a good job to be viewed as equal to their male colleagues. It is your discretion, which means it is up to you to agree or disagree. God Bless.

I went to Gessner for my test and my examiner just happened to have an attitude. in the end, she accused me of not stopping before a stop sign and driving into oncoming traffic, both of which were not true. If you live in texas, which you probably do since you're watching this
I suggest taking this location
I have made an appointment here for my 2nd road test since i didn’t pass my first one, and honestly, this is what i expected when taking the test
I took the gessener one and they make you take the road test in a neighborhood, and they make you back up in the middle with all the cars and trash bins parked in the curbs
And the space is limited and there could be other cars behind you of in the opposite side trying to go the other way.
And i got like a bad examiner, maybe she was having a bad day (or maybe she was like this with everyone) but she was on her phone for a good amount of time while i was driving, chewing her gum loudly (not to mention she started chewing gum once she got in the car and when my exam started) and played her own music for a few seconds
So yeah . . . Wish me luck in 2 weeks ...

Also did you take this same route?
@@elianasido2055 I passed! I made a couple mistakes due to nervousness but still ended up passing! I didn’t do this route, I did my test in castroville tx. For parallel parking at the place I went to, they had two poles spaced apart and you had to parallel park between them. Most places there is plenty of space between the poles though, you just want to make sure that you don’t hit the curb. My tester didn’t ask about the inside parts of the car but I did learn them just in case, you really should know headlight, blinkers, emergency brake, defroster, horn, emergency lights. I just memorized them like an hour before the test though it isn’t that hard. My test was less than 15 mins long and wasn’t hard at all.

@@elianasido2055 ask as many questions as you need, you’re probably just as nervous as I was lol. I was honestly most worried about parallel parking and I actually went in a little too steep when I was doing it so I pulled up a little bit in the middle of it and then finished and luckily my instructor didn’t say anything about it. If you have time I say try and practice it a couple times to try and get used to the movement. One thing to make sure of though is to use your blinker when you start parallel parking and also when you are leaving the space you parked in because if you forget you will get points off.
