If loading mags is a deal breaker skip the 25, 25 wasn't built around EZ loading concept in its conception. loading the 25 mags is even harder with that gap taken off the back of the mags.
For some people this is the perfect carry pistol. Some people I took to the range had weak hands & had several jams from limp-waisting. With a proper grip. We shot micro 9mm & micro 380s. Then I rented a larger 380 (S&W EZ 380) & had zero malfunctions. I think this pistol would be just as reliable because of the size & weight.

@@lgwappo Yes this will be a bit more girthier than the Sheild/EZ but the size of this .380 soaks up the rounds making it a pleasant shoot. Loading the mags is the hardest part since they shrunk the follower and the gap of a g19 sized dimension mag.

My wife loves 380 but there isn't really anything this size and capacity available! Seems like a great choice for someone that can't handle recoil. I'm interested myself and shoot everything pretty well but I imagine I could shoot this even better.
I guess these are primarily being marketed towards Glock collectors who just have to have one of everything. If they were serious about introducing a competitive hi-cap .380 they'd have put an optics cut on it.
The amount of people that don't realize this is annoying. Glock isn't trying to dip in the .380 market, they're releasing a limited time collectors gun
Both are great guns! The Walther is DA/SA, holds fewer rounds and is a bit smaller and lighter. The Glock shoots a bit softer, has a little better range and holds 6 more rounds. Pick your poison, you can’t go wrong.
Oh, thank God, this is exactly what I've been looking for a Glock. That is the same size and weight as a 9 mm version. But fires a substantially lower powered round. Thank you, Jesus. I am so happy to watch a video about it.😮😮
.380 isn't the most powerful round but I sure as hell don't want to find out for myself. That said I would use this model for EDC. I've had a G19 for almost a decade, a gen 3, and have never had a malfunction with it. I've fired over a thousand rounds through it. I did replace the ejector soon after getting it cause the brass was hitting me in the face. Never had a feeding or ejection problem with it that I can recollect.
Next endeavor, a miniature Glock in .32 ACP at least 8 but probably 10 in the mag, barrel between 3.5 to 4 inch, threaded, rised sights, optics ready, fixed barrel, some "ears on the slide for those with weak hands, or the same solution that S&W did, locked but a weak spring. And in some lighter colours than black/dark grey/dark green. Light sand, light grey, pale blue.
@@dalehenry4694 Forgot that. Maybe a setup like Peter Stahl's guns, 2 spring loaded extractors flat boltface, then a myriad of barrels, magazines and springs, and sell a lot of them, because PS guns are expensive. @@usernamesrlamo It needs dedicated guns, that are smaller than a 9mm, easier to retract the slide, integrated optics slimmed down for easy carrying on smaller humans.
Since 9mm and 380 have the same dimension as in width, I wonder if a company can come out with a semi handgun that will feed both 9 and 380 with just a barrel change and recoil spring change .
For what it's worth, the spare Gen 3 Glock 19 recoil spring that I've had for many years has the same number stamped on the end as the one that came with my Glock 25.
Why would I go with full frame /half power Glock 25 if I can have full frame / full power Glock 19. 🤷♂️ My every day concealed carry is Ruger LCP II. Half the size of the G25, probably half the price too (paid $320). It’s a reliable pocket carry , perfect for self defense. Otherwise my lineup is G17, daytime, G26, once a year to qualify, and LCP2. Hopefully within next few months I’ll swap out the G17 to G47, G26 to G43X, and LCP2 to LCP MAX. Swap like that comes with a very high price tag for duty holsters (level3) accessories (extra mags) and training . There is no room for G25. No practical reason to invest money into it. Unless someone is ambitious to have all the Glocks 😃 Good luck y’all ❗️ Stay safe ❗️
Is it also easier to rack the slide? You mentioned it has a lighter recoil spring, so I would assume so? If so, this could be another significant benefit for some shooters.
No, it's 19 spring, nothing about this is EZ if that is the deciding factor over other guns. This was originally conceived before the EZ craze of 380 pistols. If you have a hard time loading mags, these are worse.
This is a gun looking for a buyer in the USA. We don't restrict handgun calibers here which is why almost nobody would buy a handgun of this size in 380. The G19 is a far better option
Noticed the Glock 25 lacks the right side slide lock/release of the 19. Is that specific to the earlier generation Glock 3, like the finger grooves and smaller mag release button?
@@ericbeech2652 I think glock should incorporate a rotating barrel, a universal red dot mounting system like the echelon, enhance grip ergonomics and texture, and even the slide/compensator setup like the p365 macro.
Great video review as always. I like the idea of a low recoiling Glock 19 in the G25. I'm not sure I can convince myself to buy it since I have a G19 already but glad it is available. I like my G42 a lot. The .380 and 9mm ammo cost difference is not as big of a deal unless you shoot frequently. I just don't shoot my .380s quite as often. A Glock 48 or 43x in .380 would be interesting...
I threw my 25 slide onto my 28 frame and then decide if I want to use the smaller 28 magazines, or the 25 magazines with an X-grip sleeve. I think it even shoots softer with the longer slide on the shorter frame.

@@melissasmess2773 the way the op is explaining it, it is much more powerful than a 32 acp. Think 22 tcm but with a 32 cal bullet.
Been a want for decades 🥰
1:50 Mainly for Central & South American Countries where military calibers are illegal.
When i tell people my glock 45 is a lipseys exclusive, they have no idea what im talking about.
I have a Glock 45.
Hey Sootch,
Any plans to review the Kimber Micro .380?
As soon as I knew they were brought to the USA I grabbed one!
If you read this I hope you are having a wonderful weekend ❤
well thank you today is my bday🎉
Thanks Willy! You too!
Same to you
Having an excellent weekend here. I hope you're having the same.
You do the same appreciate it
New, Glock? I aint falling for this again!
Glocks are only new on the inside. You always get the same standard issue on the outside. It's a Glock thing.
Lol the 25 has been in production since 1995 if im not mistaken, nothing new about it except now Its available in the states
Go away karen
I feel your pain
@@wesleybullock814awww. Glock lover got hurt feels? How much do they pay you to defend their non innovative products?
What took you so long
I have been waiting for this opinion
I've been wanting to review one for a while but this was my first chance to get one. After shooting the G19 for so long, it was really such a different experience with the recoil. Thanks Michael
Not everyone runs an optic 😂😅
The amount of people that don't realize this is annoying. Glock isn't trying to dip in the .380 market, they're releasing a limited time collectors gun
I don't get this fad where everyone feels the need to put a red dot on everything?
What does ACP mean? New to shooting here. Thanks.
Automatic Colt Pistol will help you better in your search.
Sootch please do a comparison of this G25 vs Walther PD380. 👍
Both are great guns! The Walther is DA/SA, holds fewer rounds and is a bit smaller and lighter. The Glock shoots a bit softer, has a little better range and holds 6 more rounds. Pick your poison, you can’t go wrong.
I wonder if Talo can get you a Taurus TS-9 with the lateral ejection
Gotta get me one of these..but. Sadly I'm I'm WA where we have a 10 round mag limit so finding only 10 round mags would be next to impossible.
Yeah I do like it a lot
Sarah Mac explained and articulated the difference to perfection!! 👍🏻👌🏻
Hope you shook Hickok 45s hand for me in Dallas nra show great review Don
The Golden Age of Glock continues 🤓🥸
Blessed Memorial Day 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Next endeavor, a miniature Glock in .32 ACP at least 8 but probably 10 in the mag, barrel between 3.5 to 4 inch, threaded, rised sights, optics ready, fixed barrel, some "ears on the slide for those with weak hands, or the same solution that S&W did, locked but a weak spring. And in some lighter colours than black/dark grey/dark green. Light sand, light grey, pale blue.
I agree on.32 acp but also would be cool to get a Glock in 30 super carry 🔫
30SC is a failed concept. Developing firearms for it is a waste of time.
@@usernamesrlamo I like so if you don't leave it alone
@@dalehenry4694 Forgot that. Maybe a setup like Peter Stahl's guns, 2 spring loaded extractors flat boltface, then a myriad of barrels, magazines and springs, and sell a lot of them, because PS guns are expensive. Maybe from .22 LR up to at least .380 30 SC including 9mm Makarov and 9x18. The .22 LR could be tricky to extract but someone may have a good idea.
@@usernamesrlamo It needs dedicated guns, that are smaller than a 9mm, easier to retract the slide, integrated optics slimmed down for easy carrying on smaller humans.
Been waiting for this gem.
Cz offers the P07 and P10C in 380 as well, yet not available for the US market. Hot sellers in the Mexican market.
Since 9mm and 380 have the same dimension as in width, I wonder if a company can come out with a semi handgun that will feed both 9 and 380 with just a barrel change and recoil spring change .
Great review... 10-4 on that Glock 19c
Thanks Brother
by the way sootch00, great review as always !!!
Sir! I would to ask you. If you have to choose between this Glock 25 or a Bersa Plus. Which one it's your option?
Gen 3 and Gen 4 frames are my favorites.
For what it's worth, the spare Gen 3 Glock 19 recoil spring that I've had for many years has the same number stamped on the end as the one that came with my Glock 25.
Could you please tell me whether that 9mm spring causes your G25 to be picky ?? Thanks
@@JonCarter-i3k No, it's the same identical factory spring and guide rod.
I Want One... 👍🏻 👍🏻
Ive had 5 glocks and never had any problems out of any of them
Because they sold you the same gun 5 times, hard to be broken when its like that
Very nice shooter. Seriously considering.
Why would I go with full frame /half power Glock 25 if I can have full frame / full power Glock 19. 🤷♂️
My every day concealed carry is Ruger LCP II.
Unless someone is ambitious to have all the Glocks 😃
Good luck y’all ❗️
Stay safe ❗️
I’ve bought one in 2014, in Brazil 🇧🇷.
Gaston Glock, Blessed be his name.
Any chance the G25 mags would work in the G19 or G26 to use them as 380s? Excuse my ignorance please.
Do the slide internals fit Glock 19 slides?
Is it also easier to rack the slide? You mentioned it has a lighter recoil spring, so I would assume so? If so, this could be another significant benefit for some shooters.
No, it's 19 spring, nothing about this is EZ if that is the deciding factor over other guns. This was originally conceived before the EZ craze of 380 pistols. If you have a hard time loading mags, these are worse.
@@t436 Thanks for the clarification!
S&W EZ 9 and 380, Walther PDP 380 and CCP 380 or Ruger Security 380 all are intended for the low recoil, light slide thing
This is a gun looking for a buyer in the USA. We don't restrict handgun calibers here which is why almost nobody would buy a handgun of this size in 380. The G19 is a far better option
Good material. I got known first of this model. Thks❤
Can glock 19 mags be used with the glock 25 even if it’s not the same caliber?
Noticed the Glock 25 lacks the right side slide lock/release of the 19. Is that specific to the earlier generation Glock 3, like the finger grooves and smaller mag release button?
Yes, it’s a gen 3 Glock
90s innovation in 2024!
Just like a good pair of blue jeans!
There are no new “innovation” from any firearm manufacturers!
Sig's FCU, 1.5 stack magazines, and the alien pistol come to mind as innovative.
Help me understand what kind of innovations you are looking for?
Could you not put a 19 slide and barrel on the 25 lower? Have 2 in one?
Of course that's what I've been hearing
I love this gun... Really charm
Can you change the barrel and the magazine en shoot 9mm instead 380?
Great 👍 presentation.
Thank 😊 You !
Considering purchasing one.
