I like this kata.....and most of the goju katas. Loads of good jujutsu techniques in these kata. Goju was the third art in which I got a black belt. First two were... wait for it..... Jujutsu.
Wrist locks, arm bars, throws etc. I see them all the time. Example...gekisai katas...step and turn to San chin dachi, block, punch, step back with gedan barai....gedan barai easily becomes an elbow break or shoulder lock. Nami gaeshi with shuto easily turns into Nami gaeshi and one of several arm bars. You don't even need to drastically change the technique as it's done in the kata; just a little change in angle or height of execution of the technique.

Kata really looks nice but it's no no good in a real fight. These movements mean absolutely nothing if you a up against a guy with a gun and he wants your wallet. Just give up the wallet dude...!!! 🤔🤔🤔
@@merylikesanime7260 Block front kick, step back, block front kick, pose, make hand gesture, then a hammer fist. Sorry, but he's right. That sequence isn't even at speed let alone relevant to any normal fighting combination that any rational human being would throw. Do they really want people to throw strikes from a wide horse stance? Somebody has never fought a wrestler before.
Perhaps your understanding of the Kata is no good in a real fight which means you have no real understanding of Bunkai or Karate in general. And no sane person would challenge someone with a gun ..So your whole logic or lack of is ridiculous.
@@pixelcultmedia4252no one who truly understands Kata or Karate in general would suggest someone would use Kata as a sequencer patten in a real fight.Kata is meant to teach muscle memory, and after many years of training one would be able to unlock the various techniques that are contained with Kata (Bunkai ).And in a “real fight “‘many of the stances used in Kata have a practical version that is suitable for a real fight.
@@nesking3115 Muscle memory for techniques you never use in a fight? I'm sorry but that sounds completely useless. You fight the way you train. Training the wrong technique via Kata makes my point for me. Learn fighting principles, and practice them in sparring. It isn't rocket science and anyone who truly understands fighting knows that Kata is bullshit.
