JLT Series 2 on 2019 Charger RT install and driving

- Installed the JLT Series 2 cold air intake. Chose this one for a few reasons: good reviews, price, box with directed air flow. This box also has the snorkel port for an even more direct flow. Since I put the 305’s all around on the 20 x 11’s I noticed a decrease in mpg so after reading up I chose to go with the CAI to gain what I lost. After about a month of driving, I get more mpg traveling on the highway but possibly lose a little running around in the city with all the stop and go sucking in more air. With the stock box I had monitored the highway driving temp about 16 degrees above outside temp, with the JLT I run right at 10 degrees above outside temp on the highway. My exhaust setup is stock with the mid-mufflers cut out and replaced with Vibrant Performance 1794 bottle style resonators.

Bro I was scared shitless when I decided to look at my intake temp and it was at 150 so I had to do research on it but question bro what’s done to your exhaust?
Lol yea the temp tripped me out at first too. But look up "Vibrant 1794", they are 3" bottle style resonators. I replaced only the mid-mufflers with these. Really cheap mod and you get a really good sound out of it without being obnoxious

@@Freddy_Confetti Correct, they were running a 0% interest promotional which is when I finally decided to just pull the trigger on it. They seem to run that same deal every other month or so for a few days at a time

Hey man did the red oil filter come sealed from the top or does it supposed to have an opening because mine is sealed and my car sounds like shit 😢
I noticed the same thing, mine came capped off which is not how it was depicted to come. I searched online and people were talking like it was normal even though the install video shows an opening on the end... let me know if you find out anything else on this please
How do you like the JLT? Do you feel a difference? How are your Intake tenps when just sitting at a light? I have the Corsa for mine, but i see alot of people using the JLT.
It's tricky since I really didn't monitor the idle temps with the stock box. Tripped me out at first because now when I sit there idling while getting sonic or something it gets hottt. After reading up, it was getting just as hot before I just wasn't aware. I've seen it almost hit 200F at times. But cools back down super quick once back on the road. I think I will try wrapping it in reflective heat tape and see if it makes a difference. Looks great and seems to perform well.
@@charliebernis177 lol wow 200😮, I have the Corsa one and the temps do go up that fast or get that hot, I've only seen mine at 160 sitting for a good while, I guess cause it's closed box and have 2 huge openings at the bottom and front. I was wanting to try something different. Thanks for the feedback

U have any exhaust upgrades or deletes? Or only Intake?

@@345power6 no I still love the way these sound. May end up doing the back mufflers with these also and see how that sounds
@@charliebernis177 I was thinking vibrants in the mid with resonators cut off and carven x pipe to smooth out the tone

All but the mid mufflers, they were cut out and replaced with VIBRANT 1794 resonators .. nice sound

Do u believe it gave u any hp gains ?
Honestly no. I've seen countless videos of people dyno'ing them after intakes and exhaust and gains are there but minimal. If anything it just seems healthier for the engine to breath a bit more unrestricted
