I am in floods of tears. I am so so proud of you. This has honestly encouraged me to get into the mindset of not waiting around for people. I often won’t do things if someone won’t come with me and in that sense I’m just holding myself back. Since I’m isolating right now because I have caught covid for a second time I’m going to write a list of things I want to do, for me. I will go through them with my partner and if he says he wants to do some of the things with me then great but also if he says “I don’t quite fancy that” instead of saying “Okay, I’m not gonna do it” I’ll say “Okay, that’s completely fine that you don’t fancy doing it but I’m still going to do it myself” I can already see myself gaining so much confidence by having this mindset! It makes me excited! Thank you for your videos!🥰💕

I think this is my favourite vlog that you've ever made. You looked so content and complete. I think a lot of people will really connect with the idea of "finding your people" and how insanely validating and exciting it can be to connect with people about a shared passion. Mark, I'm a solo traveller, too! 53 and my first solo trip was England! It's terrifying but so rewarding. I'm SO proud of you. Don't ever apologize for things that make your heart sing! That's how you know you're on the right path. Follow your bliss! Yay for you!!

I think admitting that you felt uneasy in some places was a really helpful reminder to all of us. Sometimes we do things, go places, take risks when holidays that we wouldn’t do at home! Loved seeing the Scream House!
Aw Mark your happy, glowing face after the Scream tour said it all. I had a similar experience when I was younger - there was a midnight Harry Potter ball at Waterstones in my town to celebrate the release of one of the books and I really wanted to go, but had no one to go with, so I dressed up and went solo, and it was magical! I made loads of friends who were 'my people', there was a ceilidh with everyone dancing, and amazing food, and we got the new book, and it was so exciting. I feel like everyone is into Harry Potter these days but I'm also geeky about 80s My Little Ponies and British big cats like the Exmoor Beast and the Beast of Bodmin. So proud of you for being your authentic self, thank you for sharing with us
Also, I just got back from a solo trip to Cornwall with my 12 year old and almost 2 year old - first as a single parent! I'm counting it as solo as there were no other adults. But I dream of a genuinely solo trip one day. I want to walk the South West coast path (630 miles)

I know when I was young and obsessed with HP (it got me through my depression and suicidal thoughts) no one understood and thought I was weird. Then I started making YT music videos about HP and found a community that felt the same type of passion for HP/other fandoms. And in September I’m going to Edinburgh and London to do all the HP things 😭 I am so excited, and seeing how happy you were when you went to the Scream house just made me even more excited. Honestly Mark I didn't realise I needed this video as much as I did! Thank you for filming this! It's shown me that I need to just go for it and do the things that I want to do and stop putting everyone else before myself all the time, because you're right, not everyone's dreams are the same as yours and not everyone understands yours but it doesn't mean that aren't important!
Massive well done for doing this trip on your own! I did a 3 week solo trip around Europe in 2019 after none of my friends were free to go; it was such a challenge and I was so proud of myself after. I have no regrets as covid hit the year after and I never would have got to make that trip if I'd waited for someone to come with me! x

I love this series so much; though I can't afford and am not yet brave enough to go on really extravagant solo trips lol, you've inspired me to take myself on little solo dates - im planning to go to a coffee shop and work on a few things by myself next week and im so excited because I've never done that before :) Want to add, you don't have to apologise for talking about something you're passionate about!! I promise, you also don't have to worry if people will "get it". We all have our things that we are passionate about - for me it's BTS - and I guess I can relate your passion towards scream and movies to my passion for BTS. But even if not, as a non-horror movie watcher, I still find it really interesting to hear how happy it makes you, even if it's not necessarily my thing. It's nice to see you so happy!

i completely understand how much this means to you!!❤️ i was the same when i was younger, except i loved old musicals, especially anything starring Judy Garland. this year would have been her 100th birthday and they had a big celebration at her birthplace and i thought to myself “this is a once in a lifetime opportunity”. so a long distance friend and i wasted no time getting tickets, flying separately and meeting up there. i had never flown on a plane by myself and i was really nervous, but it was so worth it. i’m so happy i went.

Aw Mark your happy, glowing face after the Scream tour said it all. I had a similar experience when I was younger - there was a midnight Harry Potter ball at Waterstones in my town to celebrate the release of one of the books and I really wanted to go, but had no one to go with, so I dressed up and went solo, and it was magical! I made loads of friends who were 'my people', there was a ceilidh with everyone dancing, and amazing food, and we got the new book, and it was so exciting. I feel like everyone is into Harry Potter these days but I'm also geeky about 80s My Little Ponies and British big cats like the Exmoor Beast and the Beast of Bodmin. So proud of you for being your authentic self, thank you for sharing with us
Also, I just got back from a solo trip to Cornwall with my 12 year old and almost 2 year old - first as a single parent! I'm counting it as solo as there were no other adults. But I dream of a genuinely solo trip one day. I want to walk the South West coast path (630 miles)

I know when I was young and obsessed with HP (it got me through my depression and suicidal thoughts) no one understood and thought I was weird. Then I started making YT music videos about HP and found a community that felt the same type of passion for HP/other fandoms. And in September I’m going to Edinburgh and London to do all the HP things 😭 I am so excited, and seeing how happy you were when you went to the Scream house just made me even more excited. I’ve watched your solo travel vlogs too and they just heal my inner child. Travelling is always something i’ve dreamed of since I was a kid but we were never able to due to money and bad timing. Massive well done for doing this trip on your own! I did a 3 week solo trip around Europe in 2019 after none of my friends were free to go; it was such a challenge and I was so proud of myself after. I have no regrets as covid hit the year after and I never would have got to make that trip if I'd waited for someone to come with me! x

So proud of you. I love that these solo adventures open up that door to many more memories that you can make and it doesn’t have to always be with people. The times I have with people is great, but times that I have on my own is even better because I can reflect on where I came from and just be proud that I’ve gotten so far. Enjoying my own company, being able to do what I want, when I want, and not feeling like I’m dragging people around to things I want to do that they may not want to do so much. We all have our things that we are passionate about - for me it's BTS - and I guess I can relate your passion towards scream and movies to my passion for BTS. i completely understand how much this means to you!!❤️ i was the same when i was younger, except i loved old musicals, especially anything starring Judy Garland. this year would have been her 100th birthday and they had a big celebration at her birthplace and i thought to myself “this is a once in a lifetime opportunity”. so a long distance friend and i wasted no time getting tickets, flying separately and meeting up there. i had never flown on a plane by myself and i was really nervous, but it was so worth it. i’m so happy i went.
