York is one of my favourite places, so weird and wonderful and magical, especially in Dec where a snow machine fills the shambles with fake snow, all the xmas lights are on, it's beautiful. One of my favourite shops on the shambles is the glass shop where they sell lovely lucky glass cat ornaments and you can get a map from there to take part in the york cat trail and try to spot and tick off all the cats dotted around on window sills, walls, above shop doors and roofs which was really cool. I would recommend walking the walls too!

I loved this mark! The room looked spooky I am not sure if I would be as brave to stay there alone. Keep doing you! You inspired me to solo travel. I went up to Glastonbury alone for a few days and it was incredible. I met so many people along the way and attended a class on healing. It's amazing doing things alone the more you do it 😊 You should be proud of you! ❣️

I was really excited and thrilled to meet you and serve you in York. I apologise on behalf of my team if anyone spoke unkindly about you. Unfortunately I think I know which staff member it could have been and I am just very disappointed that this could be what you remember of us. I hope your trip was everything you hoped it would be.
not really but i had an experience like this once. i went on holiday in the uk to a small beach town. we arrived in the evening and i wanted to go see the beach before i went to bed. the person i was with wasn't interested so i went by myself. anyway, i get there. i look out at the ocean, sit down on the sand, listen to the waves. I look further down the beach and notice these two men (early twenties) and could hear them faintly talking about surfing or something. i sat there for about twenty minutes before i decided to go back. i started walking back up the beach path, literally not a minute since i left my spot and the two men go down to where i was. i didn't think anything of it but stopped to take a photo of the moon above the sea. its then that i heard them muttering about me sitting there and i think they thought i was going to end myself. i was completely baffled and was tempted to shout i was all good but didn't. i just couldn't understand if they hadn't seen a tourist before or if people sitting on the beach was just not a common thing?

I went up to Glastonbury alone for a few days and it was incredible. I met so many people along the way and attended a class on healing. It's amazing doing things alone the more you do it 😊

not really but i had an experience like this once. i went on holiday in the uk to a small beach town. we arrived in the evening and i wanted to go see the beach before i went to bed. the person i was with wasn't interested so i went by myself.
anyway, i get there. i look out at the ocean, sit down on the sand, listen to the waves.
I look further down the beach and notice these two men (early twenties) and could hear them faintly talking about surfing or something.
i sat there for about twenty minutes before i decided to go back.
i started walking back up the beach path, literally not a minute since i left my spot and the two men go down to where i was.
i didn't think anything of it but stopped to take a photo of the moon above the sea.
its then that i heard them muttering about me sitting there and i think they thought i was going to end myself.
i was completely baffled and was tempted to shout i was all good but didn't. i just couldn't understand if they hadn't seen a tourist before or if people sitting on the beach was just not a common thing?
