    Thank you for doing this. People take one small part of a science fact, use the non science logic with it and then spew fake news. So frustrating. Just think, if this was true, wouldn't someone get sick everytime they camped over night in a dense forest?

    Great video! I showed to my wife 😜 She said to me: no more plants in our bedroom, they produce CO2 during night, they will kill us 🤮 Now I have a excuse to buy more of them and she can't argue with me about that anymore. New Hoyas here I am 🪴Thanks 😅

    I've seen labels on plant that said that that plant helps against snoring. I feel that's as ridiculous as dying from them by putting them in your bedroom.

    I don't hear of many people concerned that their CATS are emitting CO2. Presumably they emit much more...and would delight in slowly suffocating us to death.
    (I actually love cats).

    I have always been frustrated by this "fact" when its brought up. I would be so dead in my home decades over if this was a fact.
    To be honest, i find i breath better in my home full of plants at night, esp my bedroom. Then even in the best hotel. I believe it is my plants (esp the big mature ones) do help.

    I've always had plants (numerous plants) in my bedroom. I can't imagine my bedroom without them. Haven't died yet!!😂 (I'm in my 70's). It just makes one wonder how all of these myths start.

    Hi Betsy! This was really interesting. I hadn't heard this myth before, just the air purifying one. And yes, please, do a video on air purifying plants. I think it would be really interesting.     I was on a first time call with a therapist, telling her that I was into plants and had quite a few in my apartment and she goes "oh my becarefull, make sure can you breath" and I thought she was joking 😅

    High Quality Content as always! People could start to calculate now: How many plants would it take to kill a person at night? I think the co2 would be less a problem but more the weight of the tons of plants 😂

    I would like to know who started the rumor. My mom bothered me at the beginning of my plant-keeping with that rumor, telling me not to put them inside my room, to have a limit of plants, etc, etc. Really, who started it? why? and what kind of "knowledge" did they based their idea ?

      I love having the CO2 reader. I just really enjoy seeing what's going on. I can tell when the plants are "eating" a lot. It helps me figure out my light brightness and schedule as well.

    So for the plants that are struggling and we don't want them to die but don't care either and just can't throw it away, we should dump it in our bedroom at night and let it die quicker😉

    In actual fact, plants are respiring at all times. I say all, any gas exchange in plants only occurs when their stomata are open (holes in the undersides of leaves) to allow the gases in an out. During the day when there is also sunlight, they photosynthesise. But they are also doing respiration the whole time too.
    But yeah, if you're worried about something emitting CO2 while you sleep, kick your partners out of bed or open a window lol

    What if you mix your plants with plants that do the opposite. Like snake plants that emits oxygen at night and emits co2 during the day. To balance some of the needs

    Hoya Lady B. Since you sleep on your side; I have this question for you . Have you ever notice that, when you close your
    left eye and open your right eye , and , vice & versa ... While sleeping on your side that is, the pillow seems to be moving !!!
