Moisture meters are not really reliable, if you use a chunky soil mix, they don't detect the moisture, so you may end up overwatering. However, if you use those self-watering wicks that come out of the bottom of the pot, you can feel the humidity levels by just touching them.
Yeah, using them is kind of a mixture of getting to know the pot and how much it weighs when wet or dry and using my moisture meter if it's mix with more coco coir in it.
Literally just did a round with all 37 of my plants to take care of them (or leave them alone!) always lovely to see another posting from you Betsy, thank you for blessing us with your energy and wisdom!
It's a painting by Schiele, "Girl with Blue-Black Hair and Hat", 1911. :) Schiele is one of my favorite artists. Thank you for watching, sorry for the distraction! 😆
I want to thank you Betsy so much! When you started taking about what plants look like with root rot a light 💡 went off in my head!! That’s exactly what’s been going on with my Monstera 😱 I took it out today and I’m praying I can save it. Thank you again
I get those cauliflower growths when I water propagate, haven't noticed any side affects and the cuttings seem to be surviving fine even after potting up from water prop

Hi Betsy! This was a great and informative video. You definitwly hit on everything. Thank you so much for sharing!
Getting a moisture meter was the best thing I ever did. My plants are much healthier now.
Me too!
Very informative. Thanks Betsy.
Thank you Betsy for all the information.

I'm so glad if you can save it! 💚
Thank you so much for your video! Topnotch as usual
How is your hoys sunrise doing? I have a growth point with green emerging.FINALLY!!
Nothing. There was weird chunky growth like cauliflower at the base so I've quarantined it and I'm treating it with sulfur once a week just in case.

Türkçe altyazı istiyoruz ☺️🌸
I think I haven't watered my cacti in like.. Idk 5 months or so. They are thriving!
They want nothing more than to be forgotten about. 😂
@@betsybegoniaYeah they are kind of just... there XDD
Gopersia? When did that happen??
So I should basically grow only cactii :( Or get better with watering. But let’s be realistic 😂
You could work on it. 😂
Dare to dream!
That’s not true you can buy grow lights and have any plant in your home. Walmart has big leaf lights that are like $9 and they work amazing
I water my plants when they're like, "please.... Help... Me...". It works!
RIP my pothos
💕
