@koolaid4315 That is true. I know who has the video, however she will not copy it or release it. I actually filmed the concert. Just turned it over because the choir was a recording choir. I will be posting more of their anthems. Thanks for your post.
I thought the end was off the chart. St. tenors was known for adding a little toward the end on certain song, which signal a high not was coming at the end.
Does anyone know if there is an arrangement of this piece for voice and piano? I would like to do it in recital, but I cannot find it among Rossini's works.

Me too! I used to have it on tape. I recorded it off one of their broadcasts over 20 years ago.
My church still sings this Anthem Lord why are the anthems dying in the churches?
My church sings anthemns still....Greenforest Community Baptist Church..........under the direction of Sis. Thelma Battle.......

Didn't? Did you not hear the reaction from the people. This was done at their Annual "O Give Thanks Concert Downtown at Ford Aud.
