1:40 To expand on this for people who aren't as familiar with lithium battery behaviour - lithium batteries vary in terms of how much power they can kick out per unit capacity and per unit weight. Tesla packs are *relatively* low power density because they're huge and lower power density chemistries are more durable, this is completely fine for a Tesla with one drive unit, or a Tesla with a really really big pack with 2 drive units, but for conversions it's hard to fit an entire Plaid battery pack worth of modules in even if you can get your hands on one. Most conversions use modules parted out from packs when using Tesla batteries, not entire packs, which limits peak power. The Chrysler Pacifica on the other hand, being a plug in hybrid with a tiny pack, uses a higher discharge design since it needs to be able to just about completely power the vehicle with a pack that's 10 times smaller than a Model 3. Stick a few of those together and you can get much higher power densities with a smaller capacity pack.

You looking better man, glad to see it
When the battery from a high performance sedan simply isn't powerful enough for your needs, you go for the one from a minivan instead. Love it!
Also, 6:40 "installing AC and heat is gonna involve getting the in-built HVAC system to communicate with something to turn on a high voltage air compressor and to turn on a high voltage heater. Very complicated so I'll go without for a while" oh boy has Technology Connections got a very relevant new video for you!
Looks like you got it all figured out! Cool project!
As an owner of a first gen Escape that has over 340k miles on it and I know that it will eventually require a new drive train, I watch your progress with great anticipation.
I can’t wait to see this!
Goodluck! Love your content.
Love this project. I hope it gets a cool (escape pod themed?) wrap/paint job at the end…
Love this style video and comedy so much....
