    One of the most underrated vehicles GM ever produced. I wish they continued on with manufacturing this product.

    I could tell the Avalanche is missed by the amount of new generation trucks that are mimicking its design, & the desert kits I see everyday on newer GMC & Chevy trucks. They got to bring it back.

    I love my 07 Avalanche! I’m keeping it until it blows up. I’ve been driving it for ten years and while it hasn’t been perfect, it’s been very reliable! They have very common known issues but as long as you keep up with maintenance, they will last forever!

    • @earlofsmeg
      @earlofsmeg Год назад +3

      Ain't that the truth. I've had mine since '07 as well and I haven't had problems at all. Just keep up with maintenance and you'll be fine. To tell you how good it is, I've been 14 times with across the country and not once did it fail. From L.A. where I live to Virginia and New England. Just amazing. I'm keeping it til it falls apart.

    I owned two new 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche Z71. Loved this truck.
    I liked it so much that I bought a used 2012 Avalanche LTZ two years ago that has 155000 Miles and drives like it came off the show room.
    Outstanding engineering and design and well thought out when built.
    I wish all the Avalanche owners and myself wish they continued making this excellent truck/suv.

      We are birds of a feather. I currently own two(2) 2005 Avalanches. Had them since new. One has 376,000mi and one with 425,000mi - 1x replacement transmission apiece around 200K. Otherwise all original and still going strong as daily drivers. Always dealer maintained. I just bought a '07 Avalanche LTZ with 167000 for use at out at another property. Such great vehicles.

    This vehicle is a legend! When I was 16 y/o my twin sister and I use to take my dad's Avalanche off road to remote areas, in the mountains (British Columbia) then we would take out the midgate and car camp, sleeping on a roll out single foam mattress that was partially in the cabin, starting on the folded down seats, and a few feet unto the truck bed (we are only 4 ft 10" lol) leaving us tons of space left over in half truck bed, to keep our food secure from bears and other wildlife! This was before RUclips and before "overlanding" was a term lol.
    Finally my dad gave it to me when I started university, so it remained in my family for 16 years, with never any failures, and I eventually ended up selling my ol girl to a very happy owner, in 2018, when I purchased a brand new 2019 4Runner TRD Off Road!
    I have sooo many great memories in this truck lol and seeing them is always nostalgic! I might buy one for nostalgia lol

    I'm on my 2nd Avalanche and looking for another. Unfortunately, the most recent made are 2013's. They are a complete vehicle in every way. I too, don't understand why they weren't more popular. I think they should build again and then every 5 years. Avalanche lovers would buy them.

    I just installed the M1A2 DZ43102 tailgate assist on my 07 Chevrolet Avalanche. It worked 4 times and then the weld on the bottom plate broke. There was some slack on the cable and it seems like the strut is a bit too short so the tailgate is not going down all of the way. So when any weight is put on the tailgate... snap. The weld did not hold. I have submitted a return and they sent another one. The strut is just too short and allows for slack in the cable. If I were to stand on the tailgate or put any weight on it at all it will snap again. There should be no slack in the factory cable. How has your DZ43101 held up with weight on the tailgate?
