Would it be wise to include an additional cost section on your letter. The reason I mention it is, because from experience it is surprising how many letters become lost in the post but never bills invoices or demands for payment. Suggest that additional copies of your letters should be charged for as a separate issue together with an administration fee, time spent, electricity, travel cost, internet provider charges stationary, unrecoverable costs V.A.T My personal view is that £80 per letter is not unreasonable to charge. Given that a higher Court has decided that this amount is deemed acceptable for over staying an allowed time by a few minutes . Remember your fine goes into the judges retirement plan ?
What about a pub car park pcn? I was in there 18 mins and it has a little tablet in a small corner to enter reg. Im pretty sure i entered mine and received the letter a month later not within the 14 days stated from a non windscreen ticket

Just one thing Chrissy, a 'Proof of Postage' does not prove the letter was delivered. I think it would be best to use Recorded delivery or Registered so as to have them to sign for it.

They deal with euro car parks and one night i wanted some drone shots of our local town hall, its lit up at night. So to get close I saw this car park, it was empty as it was about 10pm. I parked up, got the drone up, all the time never leaving my car unattended and i was there for about 20 mins. A month later i got a parking fine which I just ignored and since then sold the car. Will this work with them? Any help would be much apreciated.
Sounds like they've tried to swindle you, had no success so have given up and sold it off. Unless it's been to a court and the courts have found against you, there's nothing they can do apart from beg ! You might get another 6 or so letters, they might even try and sell it off to another load of clowns who send you another dozen letters begging. Regarding private land tickets just totally ignore all correspondence and they never ever come to anything, I’ve been ignoring these shit letters for more than twenty years and all they do is just send bogus demands until they just give up.
DVLA just provide them any drivers details for about 1.50 when you have passed on the details who was driving..... If it's made up or fake they can just go back for the money from the registered keeper of car.

I just received a parking charge notice from Car Flow after overstaying 10 minutes after the 90mins free parking while shopping.... I didn't even realise that I overstayed! They send a letter with pictures of my car mentioning the time I entered and the time I left, taken via CCTV and they have all my details from DVLA I guess. What shall I do in this case? Also, have you ever been paid for driver details, or your 'further communication £80' charge? I guess you also don't understand the protection of freedoms act 2012... Yes, they need the drivers details (which you're not required to provide and technically, under the data protection act, would be illegal for you to supply without the drivers permission, otherwise they could sue YOU for £250 - £750) but as long as they have complied with POFA (which it looks like they have from the letter) then they can hold the keeper liable for the charge, if the driver is unknown.

Parking eye don’t need to own the land, they simply need to have a contract with the land owner, which, if requested, would be provided as evidence in court. They don’t need a signed contract with the driver or keeper either; the contract is displayed within the car park and by remaining on the property, you agree to those terms and conditions. If you don’t agree, you have a short time period in which to leave. It’s called ‘acceptance by performance’

Update - the legislation changed to provide for the details of the driver to be disclosed by the 'vehicle keeper' and if not the 'keeper' will have the claim against them. Road Vehicles (Registration & Licencing)Act 2002 - 'private and public requesting vehicle keeper information from DVLA must have reasonable cause..' Loophole closed.
When you can just wash up here on a rubber raft with a made up name and DoB and be treated like royalty and never need to work or pay tax, it makes my blood boil when my old girl gets a private parking ticket at the hospital because she stayed a bit longer than 2 hours while visiting a sick friend, it should be free to park at hospital anyway, it’s disgusting behaviour.

come on Chriss what happens IF they actually send you the tenner? You have then entered into contract and are obliged to give a name. Do you make a name up thus liabeling yourself, or break the contract which then becomes a criminal offence

Proof of postage is meaningless you need recorded delivery because the post office can mess up and your claim will be against them for not delivering the letter, it needs to be signed for. Also why not advice people not to park in the wrong places.
recoreded delivery is free and you will have a signature which, if you have informed them of your fee, stating that any reply will mean that they have agreed your terms, this can now be used as your evidence and they will be forced to pay up. don't worry, so far they have all withdrawn at this point in all my cases. after all, they would be daft to pursue. see my previous post above.

sending a letter isn't worth to charge £100 but the bailiff can send letters and charge £230 to hand deliver it ok

In NZ a traffic cop registered all his Vehicles , Registered owner as Micky mouse Disneyland. Which it turns out was quite legal.

come on Chriss what happens IF they actually send you the tenner? You have then entered into contract and are obliged to give a name. Do you make a name up thus liabeling yourself, or break the contract which then becomes a criminal offence

I recently received a ticket from UKCPS. I was parked on a public road maintained by the county council. They have emailed me confirmation of this with a map included as proof. I followed the advice in this video and have received a follow up letter saying even though I was not the driver, as I wouldn't give the drivers details they would come after me. What should I do now???? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello mate why is it bad if you appeal the letter? I appealed one a year and a half ago and have just had a summons thru the door. Do you think I can still not pay?

In the second ticket was that a picture of it parked or leaving ?
and you can even find out if/when your letter was recieved and who signed for it by going to www.royalmail.com/track-your-item
Proof of postage is meaningless you need recorded delivery because the post office can mess up and your claim will be against them for not delivering the letter, it needs to be signed for. Also why not advice people not to park in the wrong places.
they never send anything by recorded delivery so why should you? Certificate of posting is good enough as the police use it also.
recoreded delivery is free and you will have a signature which, if you have informed them of your fee, stating that any reply will mean that they have agreed your terms, this can now be used as your evidence and they will be forced to pay up. don't worry, so far they have all withdrawn at this point in all my cases. after all, they would be daft to pursue. see my previous post above.

Why was it so high? They're usually about £100. You should be able to challenge that one. How long were you parked?
