Actually, the GP-100 can handle MIDI commands, but since it does not have MIDI 5 pin DIN ports or MIDI 1/8" jacks, the only way that I know of to control the GP-100 via MIDI is via USB. I have used a CME WIDI UHOST connected to the USB port and a MIDI Controller that supports Bluetooth (the M-VAVE Chocolate), and it does work. There are some videos on RUclips about this.
By the way, I have check out the devices on Amazon: CME WIDI UHOST is 69€, and Chocolate 54€. Is that correct or did you find these devices at a cheaper price? Thank you!
Thank you! Here you can check out the full song: ruclips.net/video/GAhKuPr-l5I/видео.html Thank you also for your suggestion....maybe in the future....
Thanks for this usefull comparison! Note that the JR is priced even a bit less than the LT in general. (as for today, € 269 for the LT vs € 264 for the JR)
Thanks for the comparison, Leo. I’ve been thinking about purchasing a valeton multi-effects pedal. I’ve been checking out demos for it on guitar and bass and they sound incredible. I plan to buy one real soon. 😎🎸
Ciao, bella domanda....
Awesome Video as always Leo!! I was wondering if you could do a side by side of the Donner Arena and GP200JR and maybe other 3 button+ 1 exp pedal offerings. Thanks!!
Hey Leo! this might be a dumb question but is it possible to use the mono send output into a mono in/Stereo out pedal (like a reverb or delay) and then instead of returning to the unit in the mono input you would adapt the stereo output to a 1/8th stereo plug and use the aux input with your external effect set 100% wet? If using the the send breaks the signal chain you could use an insert cable with the stereo 1/4 jack end wired to mono. I am very close to pulling the trigger on a GP-200 regardless but it would be interesting to know if this works.
I read on gp200lt there an hardware background noise/hiss especially with any amp on. Is it true? If yes, considering gp200notLT and gp200jr have a ground lift, can you tell me if they have the same kind of problem too?
Thank you Leo for another great comparison video. I am considering the GP 200 as a low cost option, to combine with the Tonex pedal for some added effects on the go. However, I'm also considering the much more expensive, Eventide H90. It seems like it might be the perfect "Multi-Effects Companion" to the Tonex pedal if the budget can justify it. Would love to hear your thoughts on the H90, if you can review it anytime soon. Thanks again! Looking forward to more great content!
Hi, you are welcome and I'm happy that you like the video! If I remember it well, the H90 allows to run just two simultaneous effects at a time, at >1k price tag: if it's correct, I think it's a pretty big limitation to be used as a full effects unit with the ToneX. Thank you!
Hi, greetings from Slovenia. You make really good and high quality videos. I'm back into playing guitar after 8 years. Back then I used big and heavy tube amps, playing some rock-metal music. Now I need somethin practical for playing at my home studio and at small gig. Really like my friends ampero, now I see that valeton is the same company with more buttons. So I really want to buy gp200. But would like to ask you which pedal in that range would be the best ? Gp200, ampero, flamma, mooer g250/300 ?
Hi, thank you, I'm happy that you like the videos! Actually, I don't have a "black" or "white" answer....the best unit always depends from your need and your taste. Ampero and Valeton are good options, but whether they are the best...it depends, from what "the best" means for you, both in terms of sound taste and features. Thank you!
I get it, some of us want the mikes and positions, but we have to ask ourselves if they really do this properly or if they just throw in a bunch of different frequency responses and call it “a different mike type, position and distance “. I wonder…
I own a GP-100 and a GP-200 Jr. I recommend GP-100 with an addictional analogic distortion pedal before. Use clean and boost for solos on GP-100, with your favorite Amps + Cabs, and the other effects you like. GP-200 is waste of money for the regular guitarrist. Don't use overdrives and gain on multi-effects, they're artificial
Hey! Do you know if valeton has a pitch shifter or a detuner? I want to move from drop d to drop b or a without tu tune the guitar. Im between zoom g1 four and valeton 200lt
Hi, I would say that it depends if you care more about the 8 foot switches (Valeton) or the possibility to have delay, reverb and chorus in parallel (NUX) or if you want to load profiles done with the GE Labs app. Thank you!
Hi Alessandro, hard question! I would base my choice on 2 factors: number of foot switches (if I needed 8...then Valeton) or possibility to chose the mic and their positions (if I want the possibility to choose mic...then Ampere). Thank you!
Hi, I have measure only the latency of the GP200, that you can check out in my 23 amp modelling latency test: ruclips.net/video/oU0-_3Hub9o/видео.html Thank you!
Thank you Leo for the video. I own both the gp-200 (my main mfx for gigs, great unit) and the gp-100, more compact but still very usable. I use midi commands to the gp-100 using a "mwave chocolate" midi switch. It adds a lot of flexibility ;-)

Yes, I'm planning some comparisons...but I can not include the Arena, as I don't have it.

Can 3rd party IRs make up for the lack of mic choice? Have you compared the difference?
Hi do these support momentary footswitch (outboard)? Great videos as always! Thanks!
Thank you for the videos, Leo! How much is it worth getting 200 series instead of GP100, sound-wise or tone-wise? Has it became better ?
Hi, they are very very similar...if not equal...I should do some test to verify....
Thank you!
My question too.
They seem to be all the same with different number of switches.

Hi, yes, the GP 200 has a pitch shifter. If you check out the user manual, you can find out more details.
Thank you for your message!
Keep it up! They should give you a commission !
😀👍
Hi Leo!
What to buy?
NUX mg30, Valeton gp200 or a little more expensive MOOER ge250?
Hi, I would say that it depends if you care more about the 8 foot switches (Valeton) or the possibility to have delay, reverb and chorus in parallel (NUX) or if you want to load profiles done with the GE Labs app.

I just need a good sound.
If you concern to system latency, choose Mooer GE-250 or NUX MG-30. You can watch Leo's youtube. The key words leo latency test
@@kuntoaji4674 I need the best high-quality Amp, Effects and IR cabinets.
Hi, should i get the nux mg 30 or valeton 200jr
Hi, good question...I should do a comparison video in order to answer...maybe in the coming weeks...
Thank you!
GP200 or NUX Trident? any suggestions which is better overall?
Hi, interesting comparison... I still don't have the trident...but this is a good comparison to do...when I will get one. Thank you!
@@LeoGibsonGtr wow thank you,i have the MG30 but in the future,I'm planning to get the Trident or the GP200 for more footswitches..
@@dexterxyz339 is MG-30 flexible on stage? What if you are using the dual foot switch?
Can the patch locations be moved so your favourites can all be together?
Hi, I'm not 100% sure...but I think it's possible. Thank you
Now there's a GP-200R. How does that compare?
Hi, as far as I know, the GP 200R is just a GP 200 red coloured....
Thank you!
In terms of sound quality, how is the GP100 compared to the GP200 series (for the same setup)?
Hi, I think they sound pretty much equivalent....but I'm not 100% sure, as I did not male a direct test.
Thank you.
🤩
Thank you!
Hi Leo if you have to choose between Ampero hotone (mp-80 or mp-50) and the valeton gp 200 lt for 50 euros difference which would you choose?
Hi Alessandro, hard question!
I would base my choice on 2 factors: number of foot switches (if I needed 8...then Valeton) or possibility to chose the mic and their positions (if I want the possibility to choose mic...then Ampere).

Ampero which offers various options for mic choice and mic position
Thank you for sharing!
you can put your own ir position speaker you like ?
You can use your own IRs.
I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean with "position speaker you like"
Thanks!
@@LeoGibsonGtr my ir from York audio have many file of position of the mic so I can choose the one the sound the better in Valeton ir loader
How do you feel the right hand on these units??Digitally??
My ampero ONE feel 60% digitally feel in my right hand
Hi, hard to tell...to me they sound right...I don't know about the %...
How would you plug it in the amp?
Hi, with the four cable method or directlly in the amp, using just drive effect.
Thank you
Mg30 still better than those ones isn't it? Tnx from 🇨🇱 Chile
How is the system latency each of them?
I have not measure the GP 100, the other should be around 3.3 ms.
