Get where you’re coming from on thesize and weight of the Helix, and tbh I don’t use most of the features on it. I still have mine, and love it, but I recently bought the GP200 to use in my music room. Wow this unit is fantastic, fully recommend it, probably end up using it live it’s that good.
In my experience, the GP 200 amp models are pretty much as good as the Helix but the effects aren't QUITE as good. I believe, in particular, the Helix reverbs and Univibe are better. Unfortunately my Helix has footswitch problems so now it needs repaired and updated. I've had the Valeton for 2 years now and used it in rehearsals, recording, and gigs. I have had GREAT results!! I bought a 2nd one for backup. One of the greatest things is the looper with generous recording time.. unlike just about EVERY mfx out there.
