Thank you for the sketch at the end. You 3 just brought back a great memory of my late wife ❤️❤️❤️. We and a friend were visiting our boat in Florida. At dinner my friend and I was discussing in great detail how we were going to catch dolphin the next day… Well finally Nancy had enough and angrily said”We’ll next you going to tell me, you are using kittens for bait!!!!” It took us a moment to make the connection. Then both my friend and I burst out laughing 😂😂😂. When we finally regained our composure, we could explain to her that dolphin is what Floridians call Mahi-mahi. 🤣🤣🤣. What a fond memory….
Tambi is the "bravest" sole on board.... (because she overcame her fears). Thank you for sharing. Tambi will be inspiring countless others... to face your fears.
Thank you for another GREAT video. From what I could see of the bottom (talking about the boat) there did not seem to be much growth. Looks like the antifouling paint is working well. Lastly, I just want to say again, if you are ever in the Stuart, FL (Manatee Pocket) area, I would love to treat you all to a lunch or dinner. I might even join you 😁
You’re right, the bottom paint has held up very well. I shake my head as I type this as it’s just another one of the endless ways the internet experts told us we were doomed to fail. Ahh, the humanity. In actuality, the paint has held up very well and has needed the least amount of cleaning as any paint we’ve used. Petit CSC, I think it’s called. We’re always up for having other people feed us, it’s just a matter of remembering who to reach out to when we happen to be in a particular location. It’s nearly impossible though because, aside from my inability to remember these things, we typically receive the invitation long after we’ve been through the area. Still, thank you for the invite.
@@Sailboatstory Try to use the word association memory reminder. If you are ever in the Manatee Pocket (in Stuart) think to yourself, "I should not eat a manatee. Wait a second! Some follower was going to buy us a meal that is not a manatee." Just a thought 😄If it was ever to happen, I hope you don't mind me inviting a good friend of mine and his wife along. They really enjoy sailing and have owned sailboats in the past.
Looks like fun but I think I'd have to drag a really long rope along behind the boat to give myself plenty of time to grab on just in case I missed the ladder.
One of my favorite screen shots was Tambi in the red swim suite swimming under the keel of the Sand Flea , is that creepy or a tribute? I was hoping to get the matching shot under The Sea Rat keel but maybe that only happens in the red swim suite? Thanks for the entertainment Tambi, ❤ Cheers Warren
So nice to see clean Bahamas water. The water in Florida is so contaminated people die from swimming in it. I trail the dinghy on a real long line when I do this, but I am alone.
In 2007 I did a delivery of a 2005 lagoon 440 from fort Lauderdale to Hawaii. To make a long story short. We landed in colon Panama. We were out clearing into the country and we wanted to go out for an early dinner or late lunch, so the taxi driver took us to one of his favorite places it was a place where you got to pick what food you wanted they put it on a plate and then you take it and sit down and eat they had some meat I didn't know what it was but I should have figured out what it was by all of the turtle shells on the wall with stuffed turtle heads sticking out of them. So for the first time and hopefully the only time in my life I was eating an endangered species. To me it was different it wasn't anything to write home about it wasn't bad but if you were starving I'm sure it would be absolutely wonderful.
I have not had seaturtle soup, but I did have the opportunity to try regular turtle soup. Once I got around the mental struggle due to my typical American diet programming, it was actually a fantastic dish. Very tasty.
I'm not sure, it came with the boat, but I have seen them somewhere retail. Maybe Defender? We're already in St Mary's, GA. The videos are a little behind, but catching up very quickly. We don't film as much during the Summer, so they'll be current again soon.
Another well-conceived and well-executed video. Loved the opening music. Did Tambi deliberately color match her swimsuit to the UV strip on your genoa, or was that a happy accident?
Well conceived? I appreciate the comment, but to be fair I put very little forethought into them. They sort of happen organically - "on the fly". I do appreciate your opinion on them being well-executed. No, the color matching was not completely intentional, but we also thought that the bikini and UV strip went very well together.
Molly is the perfect age for adventures. Hope she can keep up with school while cruising.
Molly is growing up beautiful. I've been watching the three of you for years and I wish I had grown up with these wonderful life moments.
Fun in the sun, with soup for dessert! What's not to love?
Nothing. I think this was about as perfect of a day as one could hope for.

Don’t miss ‘Molly redheads turtle soup’ after the closing credits!!!!!😂
It's going to be delicious.

She is indeed a brave soul and I'm proud of her for all of the things she does regularly that goes against her fears.
Thanks for the ride, but it is time to go ashore. Stay safe.
One of the BEST sailing channels!
We concur.
Dang you are good at intros. Well done guys.
I have to amend my statement...you are just great at editing in general...but still top notch intros!
Thanks for saying that.
Always glad to hear that the editing efforts are appreciated.

14:31 I remember similar discussions with my manager back in the day, just before I became self employed :-)
Was that because your idea was just THAT GOOD, like mine?
@@Sailboatstory Are you motivating some one to get her own boat and become her own captain?
Great shots swimming under the keel.
Thanks 👍
Another great video, thank you...
Glad you enjoyed it
Ya'll are having way to much fun, great vid guys.
Way too much?
Is that even possible?
drone shots of boat great. Boat looking GOOD. Clean.
Thanks 👍
We go by the 50' rule on the good ship Sea Rat.
Great job Tambi!!! I absolutely love the water in the Bahamas. Your videos are so wholesome with a twist of humor 🙄😂🤣
Glad you like them!
Awesome vedio molly
I believe Tamby, with her uncompairable beauty she is the queen of the ocean.

The concern of possible creepiness makes it uncreepy.

Are you saying you jump in while your boat is sailing but you're alone?
Molly is getting so tall.
Your videos are always great.
Glad you like them!
was it very deep i would love to jump in just not a great swimmer but it looks like a lot of fun
Not deep. Only about 10' through that stretch of water.
at 0.42 - work needs to be done on that block or the jib sheet to winch run - perhaps the other side as well ?? - possible chafe point
I'm not seeing the need for work to be done there.
There's not a bit of chafe on the sheets at those points.

So? How was the soup Molly? 😂
What is the swim ladder you have? Way better than ours! Happy to see you still enjoying the Bahamas. Where are you headed for hurricane season?

What happened to your buddy boats. Especially Salty Escape
When does the recipe get published?
Just as soon as someone bails me out of Bahamian jail.
@@Sailboatstory 🤣
How many feet from the bow to the surface of the sea? I don"t have the time to look up the dimensions of your scow.
Less than a foot.
@@Sailboatstory Listen Mr Cheeky. You know what I meant. How far did you guys jump. In imperial feet. Not metric. Ha!
Fine. Approximately 1/100th furlong.
😂 Alrighty. That's pretty high. I was expecting fathoms from such a legendary sailor such as you.
Sea turtle tacos, why not.
On the half shell.
Turtle good eating

Yep👍🙏☺️
For sure.
One of those days you will lose your glasses while jumping in the water... cheers
Maybe. Hasn’t happened yet, but when/if I do it won’t be a problem as we have loads of spares on hand.
