Nice pick! I used to live in Singapore and flew with SIA a lot, but have seen their service decline after COVID on my last few trips to India/Singapore/Malaysia.
Have you seen a decline in their service levels too?

@@BrentColeman no I don't believe I have after COVID. They run on time. Changi is back in full swing. I think Qantas on the other hand has really gone down hill

Heya! I believe you need to be an Australian citizen or PR to apply. You’ll also need to meet minimum income thresholds which as a student may be difficult to meet. Hope this helps!

2:58 - he explicitly said student visas are not eligible. Best you wait till you're a PR, maybe Google - acceptable visas for XXX bank credit cards.

You can get amex if you have a working visa with more than 12 months remaining on your visa.

For the standard amex airpoints card with no annual fee, if you withdraw cash do you still get amex points when you pay it back? Ie withdraw $500 cash and still get those 5 points? Googled everywhere can't find

Hi Trell, to the best of my knowledge you don't earn points when you withdraw cash from an ATM. When you spend at a retailer AMEX will charge them (as would Visa/Mastercard) and the rewards are simply sharing this charge with you. Also note that cash withdrawals often have a higher interest charge ("cash advances"). Hope this helps!

Amex charges a transaction fee for any purchase we make right? So isn’t that bad in the long run?

Hi Viktor - it depends entirely on the merchant and whether they pass the cost of accepting the card onto shoppers. Many of the larger merchants, such as supermarkets, fast food operators, and fuel stations, will absorb this cost. I'd always try and avoid these surcharges if the cost exceeds the benefit.
