Hi Queenie, could you please breakdown the points for both Amex essential old and the new ones? I am unsure if I should switch because of the monthly fee on the new one but also not sure what to make of the points earning differences and potential offsetting of the monthly fee of 9$. Thanks.
Does the up to 5x points per month on 10000 points does that only apply with the restaurants? Or is it in general? And does it last the whole life span of the credit card? Or does it go away after 1 month?
@chrisaustralianfinance9204 only valid on eligible kogan purchases though. Have you redeemed any of those point yet? What are the eligible purchases like? Genuinely curious.
@blakejohnson2206 actually pretty good. You generally need to always do a price check as some products are just rip off's, but the time I've had the card for 3 years now it's paid for 1 k worth of lego, a safe, camera bag, tv mount, safety plugs, electrical boards and much more. Highly rate it.
I have credit cards with concierge but i never used it. I forget i have access and don't really understand the use cases either? A video on this would be great too
Ooo interesting! Sometimes I forget these extra perks are there too. You could try using it to book a restaurant, concert tickets, or even help you book your travel!
Glasses~~~\@@/ Looking to get the Qantas AMEX card, will definitely go through with your link! Hopefully I'll get my finances sorted soon enough to take advantage of the current offer. Love the hairdo btw~
I think your reach is being limited. I was trying to find one of your videos again and couldn't find it coming up in search like I did the first time I found your videos.
Why are you recommending Credit Cards? Dont use money you dont have through this method of payment. Obscene interest rates and charges. Opt for a direct debit card.
@@timberyang89 I dont know for sure - most dont. There may be some banks that link rewards schemes with debit cards. I wouldn't structure my life around rewards points (may be if you fly frequently it's worth while)
LOL, shes literally giving you the best rates and charges and ALL the benefits these cards offer. Credit cards can be a fantastic way to save money and earn flight points and the like, you just need to be smart and vigilant about how you use them, which most of the population arent!
@@thedappercook Save money? LOL (I can giggle too Mr Dappercrook). Using Credit Cards is a fantastic way to SAVE MONEY? Who is your financial advisor? A banking executive? This is the first time that I have heard anyone recommend credit cards as a means to save money. It's true that you can exploit the free interest period for certain purchases and also earn rewards points. But they are the hooks. Generally it's a personal debt generating trap that incurs high fees and interest rates.
They’re not for everyone, but can be a great tool when used wisely. If you pay back everything you owe before the interest free period no interest is charged. And you get extra perks like free insurances, cashback and points. But the key is to use them wisely ☺️
Booking through the AMEX portal is usually more expensive than booking directly with an airline, just something to be mindful of
I need a new card with no international transaction fees and best value for points. Do you have any recommendations?
Great video queen, just opened the explorer card.
So good!! Hope you enjoy your travels :)
@@InvestWithQueenieI am a thumbnail designer and would love to work with you
Amazing informative Video ❤ but can you do a video about Credit Cards with balance transfer ? Like the us Creditcards system?

Old essential was a fixed 1.25 points on all purchases

With it being such a short flight is it worth the upgrade
How can you ignore the kogan black money card? $400 credit and 1% credit on expenditure whole being a free card.
That is a great free card too! Thanks for mentioning!
No travel rewards
@blakejohnson2206 who cares? The rewards system gives you more value for what you spend.
