- North American Kaido Racers Get WILD at N.A. NONSURI 2022
Our 1986 MX72 Cressida wagon joins the party out at Apple Valley speedway for N.A. Nonsuri. 2022!!🚨
Nonsuri events in Hokkaido & Kyushu, Japan were great places for Kaido Racers to gather & showcase their custom 70’s & 80’s cars. The term “Kaido Racer” (街道レーサ) is somewhat of an umbrella term that encompasses many sub genres. Kaido Racer style can range from just a simple LOWDOWN “Shakotan”(シャコタン) Kyusha (旧車, Japanese classic car), to over the top “Works” style & “Garuchan” (70’s/80’s era Grand Championship racer) with long TAKEYARI exhuast, sitting on small, wide period correct wheels & INSANE custom body/paint work!!🤯
In recent years, this Showa-era inspired style has been catching on in other regions outside of Japan. Thanks to MOONLIGHT RUNNERS & N.A. NONSURI, we now have an event here in CA to show our love & appreciation for this fascinating culture & the participants did not disappoint!!
Various North American Kaido Racer 街道レーサ teams from around CA, PNW & even Canada traveled out to Apple Valley speedway to hang out, show their Kyusha cars specially prepped for the event, parade with Bosozoku style bikes & scooters & perform some NONSURI action on the skid pad💨
The family & I had a blast cruisin’ our wagon among everyone & we are already looking forward to the next event✌️✌️

Took me 5 months to find this video! What a beautiful day it was. It was wonderful to meet so many people from all over the world. If you are wondering, I was the chunky, old lady with the thick southern accent, in a safety orange hat, lol. I'm so glad you found your hat; it's a miracle considering all the little black bits everywhere on the track. Can't wait for NANonsuri '23!!!
Hey!! Thanks for watching and glad you found the video, looking forward to the next event and just an FYI I still have that hat hahahah!
Awwww, what a spin!
