@@alexjackson936 5? You do realize that all the Fallout games(including 76) have had huge Player numbers after the TV show? Even before the TV show plenty of people were still playing 76. every time I hopped online, the map always had players on it.

It may have changed, but that's how they were at launch due to being a remodeled megasloth. -As other's have said, collecting caps was/is something that people really do now. -The chief didn't want Bee traveling alone because it was communist behavior. You learn that people believe that when you explore Big Meadows Gas Well. It really was about the journey. They have multiple hunts like this in the game. Darius Angler, Enola Walker, the domestics. It's reminiscent of the Keller family from Fallout 3.
No lore issue. she said she was hiding trinkets, not money. And we know that while they didn't have monetary value, bottle caps were a collectable (hell, we did it in real life back in the day). So it is fine lore wise.
I'd like to know if certain bottlecaps are worth more if they had a rare design. Also, what do they make their paper out of? That stuff lasts years in the open weather.
I grew up my tweens in the Sierra Nevadas... It was a rare year when no one would go missing. Rule of thumb if your going hiking and insist on going alone. Tell someone and let them know when you should be back. You don't have give them a map just tell them where your starting and where you intend to end and when you'll be back. So many of those missing people could have been found much faster had they done that. That being said actual deaths were rare for hikers and more of an issue for adventurous skiers. Winter is harsh and the time frame to find you is much shorter even in good weather. The moral of this is sadly very accurate, and sadly just as ignored.
Yeah. Ox and I both live in a state where we have a national forest where... on average about 25 people just go missing and are never found, a year. The Olympic Mountains are no joke there. It happens a lot and I can say working as a guide myself (in the Cascades) that I've had to basically save more than a few people who had damned fool ideas even in my short time working at it (For example I had a group who tried to fire 20 gauge birdshot at a moose...). Be safe. Listen to the Park Rangers/Guides. Stick to known trails. Tell people were you're going. Research and pack adequately. Remember the Wilderness is the Wilderness and danger does exist there no matter how picturesque you think it is or how "close" to civilization you are. And Animals are dangerous and don't think because it's an Herbivore it won't mess you up. We don't have Sheepsquatches (maybe, the county I worked in actually had some Big Foot mania back in the day, and a law against hunting and trapping them)... but even a wild boar will mess you up if you don't show it proper respect. Remember things like first aid kits (every bit counts when you might legit be hours away from medical care otherwise), maybe a whistle or a flare gun even on short day hikes. And do take things seriously. Things that can't be understated.
The stash at the end being caps could be explained as them being a collection of sorts; caps from different drinks (the actual brand of cap doesn't seem to matter too much when spending them as you can use Sunset Sarsaparilla caps in New Vegas), caps from different places Bee had been to, caps with limited edition designs or off of limited edition drinks, etc.

Ox I don’t know if you read my comments, but I found out the reason you can’t read most of the Vault 63 organics lab terminal or Hilda’s terminal entries and the fact you can’t enter the Engineering wing of the vault is that there was a massive amount of story rewrites and content cut before this update released. The bodies in containment in the organics wing were supposed to be part of something called the “cadaver project” which involved cloning ghouls for experiments and was mentioned in the blocked terminal entries there. They were not imprisoned lost originally. The Engineering wing was gonna feature in the second to last quest and feature a Mister Handy named Tunnsley, the insane head of Engineering named Ignatius Stolz who had made a family out of robobrains, and another Storm Goliath. The engineering wing is under the motel and was partially flooded, partially a testing ground modeled on a suburban town and most of the robots in there were hostile. Depending on how things went in the quest Ignatius might end up dead by you taking his robot pacification gizmo from him causing the robots to attack him with Tunnsley remaining non-hostile. There was also another quest that would have taken place after double crossed wires and featuring a Presidential bunker in Rapidan camp that hinted at a base in Norfolk Naval station which I suspect was supposed to be an Enclave base. I found out all this info from the wiki and from footage of people who played the pts and glitched their way into cut areas.
Another terrific lore video. There is an NPC in the other bathroom (0:40) with a note about another lore, but I supposed you'll get to that in the future. I'm surprised you didn't encounter a single turkey (thrasher), because that was the creature I saw the most of in that region. Ox, consider a melee build, which would solve two of your problems: (1) no ammo needed, (2) much faster kill if you use an automatic melee weapon like auto axe or chainsaw. You just don't want to fight tanky creatures with guns; they'll waste ammo like no tomorrow even on good builds. Use guns only on the weaker mobs. Use automatic melee weapons to fight bosses or mini-boss type enemies (legendary scorchbeast, sheepsquatch, super mutant behemoth, legendary mirelurk queen, etc.)
I've noticed that the top of Bee's favorite spot is a spawn area for random large monsters. I've encountered ogua, blue devils, and deathclaws, and sometimes raider or settler groups attacking the random beast. I've just left the ogua alone while I tried to figure out where Bee left her stash or note 2, as I assumed the next note after the first one would be there. I don't know if all ogua are like this, but it didn't chase me like the blue devils or deathclaw did. I've also heard that a megasloth will occasionally spawn up there too; I don't know if creatures in this spawn location are effected by animal friend, but in case anyone's looking for a deathclaw or megasloth for their camp, it's worth a shot. I've also encountered multiple sheepsquatch at the base of the trail like you have, don't know if it's a static spawn location or if I just had the worst random-encounter luck.

Either that, or they were Sunset Sarsaparilla 'Star' caps and Bee planned on taking a trip to Nevada at some point to trade them to Festus XD
If you notice on some of the tables there are maps of Shenandoah. Some of them have red or blue circles. Those indicate easy, medium and hard trails. So if you were to look at those maps, if you find them you could easily go the routes that you did in your video 👍
You should cover the actual treasure hunt for the pioneer scouts, it’s an unmarked quest that begins when you read a note on a bulletin board at camp liberty.
@@LeorgeGucas1977 I don’t play 76 so I had to ask. I don’t remember a lot of places or lore from it, even though I’ve watched Ox’s streams/vids. I don’t know what Camp Liberty is or was about. 🤷♀️
All this time she called her work colleagues 'dopes', but in the end, she realized she was the dope. Also, I find it funny she used the last of her strength to write a note stating the obvious of how she died an idiot.
I feel like it was a missed opportunity not to put some kind of Brotherhood dialogue check if you completed the Steel Dawn/Reign quests when talking to Barnaby. Surely your character would be able to tell the difference between a real and fake brotherhood of steel member considering how closely you worked with them
I'm hoping Bee went to exposure and not starvation or dehydration. The latter two are a lot worse. The first one people apparently just...get to a point where they think they're warm and then fall asleep to never wake.
This is fantastic! How you discovered everything, how you tell this story... Love you for that! (i found a single small cabin down in the south near the border, locked with a cattle and written on it - do not enter! no idea what that is about!) (i found a little girl with 3 raiders, sad that his mole died! Should be related to that Molehat Man)
I could tune up a sheep squash even after they nerfed the living hell out of my bloodied build. The only problem now is I won't one hit him, but he could one hit me
This is my first time diving into 76 lore after watching so much NV/fallout 4 content. Idk why people hate on it so much, I like the vibes! Might have to try it myself (can I adjust difficulty settings? 😅 don’t know if this makes sense to anyone but I don’t enjoy immense challenge or difficulty in my gaming experience. It’s not fun or enjoyable to me) thanks for the misc. quest adventure!! 😂
I wouldn't say 76 is very difficult, if you make a good built then the game becomes very easy and there is no real punishment for death apart from loosing some junk.
Most of the hate was closer to launch for a number of reasons. Originally it was an empty world with no alive NPCs & stories solely through notes & terminals. Only people were other players who could be unpredictable. It has steadily improved since. I’m like you in my style of gaming. I want a leisurely experience, not challenge/competition. Some combat, but nothing I have to waste half an hour on one enemy. I was never good at builds and following others’ examples always made characters not feel like my own, but my own would then end up sorely ineffective. I die a lot whenever I’ve tried to play, but I suck at these types of games. I also die in Grounded & Valheim. So, you might end up better at it than me. I would at least try it to see if it’s for you enough to stick with it. I always need others to carry me in these games, but have no one to play with & not fond of the random peeps experience.
I love it but be prepared if you play it, it will definitely take time to build your character and camps. Don't listen to the haters try it for yourself.
Love your content OX. Have you ever considered re-working your build? As a Power Armor user you could be killing that sheepsquatch (and many other tough enemies) much more efficiently.
I believe he said there’s still several more Fallout TV show videos (& maybe more 76, but not certain on that) before the FO4 ones return, so no actual timeframe given.
Hey Oxhorn! Just wanted to say thanks for all those amazing fallout videos you've shown us. It helped me a little bit for your fallout 4 Lore Videos. Thanks for those amazing videos! I subscribed to your account because you're my 1# favorite fallout RUclipsr. ❤
Hi 👋🏻 Ox & OxChat. I really enjoyed this Live, but it’s so much easier to follow when you’ve sussed it all out and took mental notes, then arrange it cohesively in a video like this. Just sayin: if you ever get a little bored on nights that aren’t Thursday, after kiddos go to sleep, you can always jump on for an Ox After Dark sesh on whatever game you feel like playing. I’m game to watch! Lol. My OxWithdrawal is showing.
He had already started it. Check the channel lists. BUT, heads up: That playthrough (was Mondays) & Baldur’s Gate 3 (Wednesdays) got interrupted for new content & games coming out. They are now further interrupted by him cutting off those 2 days of streaming for the foreseeable future due to lack of childcare for his 2 kiddos who are out of school for the Summer. His only stream day now is Thursday nights & times vary because it’s whenever he can get the kids to sleep. Usually starting between 8-10 pm Pacific. At some point he’ll get back to them, but who knows when, as Thursdays are usually for horror/supernatural kind of games or short indie ones. Because of the limitation, that could vary, though. To give us variety.
Holy crap, this is awesome. I think I picked up that first note and couldn't remember what it was bc of FO76's horrible inventory sorting (I REALLY wish they had a "Sort by Recent" option. I couldn't find the note so I gave up. But so cool you posted this video bc now I want to go experience it myself. :)
Its great they added a new area. After thousands of hours, we were all getting desperate for some new map expansion. They are trying and I am glad for that. See you at Fasnacht.
I personally don't like watching Ox's videos on things I've personally seen and done, so not gonna watch much videos about the show and Fallout 4 factions, since I've seen and done it all in person. But for some I don't even watch the 76 videos and haven't played 76 at all and then I have zero clue on what is going on during 76 live-streams.
Maybe Bee liked collecting bottlecaps as side hobby? Many people love collecting things other consider trash and think of them as their personal treasure.
Great video, Ox. Wish I had the patience to track these down myself. By the way, I recommend changing all your legendary perk cards to to SPECIAL cards. At entry level 1 this will give you a +1 to six out of seven of your stats, and if you max them out you can get up to a +5 to those stats. This should help unlock more dialogue options.
35:20 remember how you mentioned that pre-war and at least in WV you were able to buy things for caps due to a promotion Nuka Cola was doing in the area.
Thank you for this video. I am glad I didn't try this "quest" myself I would have been peeped to put it mildly... A suggestion if the bullet sponge enemies make it so hard for you get a Chainsaw with flamethrower attachment and some impulse greandes. Damage over time is the current key and even without perks you will reduce the amount of time invested into the bullet sponges.
FINALLY something that isn't Fallout TV, sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh. I daresay, may Fallout 76 send you a Sheepsquatch for every new video you release on that dang show.
@@combinestrider117 I'm a purist. I'm annoyed as heck that there was a TV show in the first place. I have the same attitude about the second _Space Jam_ and _Independence Day_ movies and the fourth _The Matrix_ movie. None of those should've happened, either... and don't get me STARTED about what they've done to _Star Trek_ . Yeah, there are probably exceptions. But, _Fallout_ is a really great series of really great games. It doesn't need to be anything else. Let it be what it is. Greed ruins too much already, and however well-intentioned and well-done the show is, when you get down to it, it's more about the money than about entertainment or content.

Where there is nit-pick, there is your typical Fallout-fan. ☢ (This is not aimed at anyone at particular, just a general observation, that includes me in there.)
Mate I love your fallout content. But I’m level 1192 and it hurts my heart and soul to see you struggle against a sheepsquatch please you need to get a quad railway rifle or the new ticket to revenge railway rifle you get from the one mission. The creatures you face would be cannon fodder. They stand no chance against a railway. You don’t even need to spec yourself out to be a beast with it. Please I know you play for story and for fun but you will have fun. The vats railway method is fool proof I know it’s for content but to see one of my favorite storytellers using the weapon meta and having a good time while doing it.
27:00 So a Dufflebag lays there for years since pre war... And the written note is just fine. Somehow the lore of Fallout 76 seems written in a hurry, why even would someone pre-war collect bottlecaps

Never played 76 myself, as I don't have the right system to play, but the history that keeps adding up to the start is amazing. Keep it up
If you notice on some of the tables there are maps of Shenandoah. Some of them have red or blue circles. Those indicate easy, medium and hard trails. So if you were to look at those maps, if you find them you could easily go the routes that you did in your video 👍
Loved this one Ox! I never would have found these so I'm glad there are passionate people like you who document this stuff. Exploration!
Hey 👋🏻
@@loraelstad8941 howdy! 🤠👋
Oxploration! I really gotta get that Ox-vaultboy done at some point. 🔎
@@ToniJ-ol8bg omg I love that pun 👌😁!!
You should cover the actual treasure hunt for the pioneer scouts, it’s an unmarked quest that begins when you read a note on a bulletin board at camp liberty.
Is that part of the new content? If not, he probably covered it already through Live streams.
@@loraelstad8941 it is new content, hence why the note is found at camp liberty
@@LeorgeGucas1977 I don’t play 76 so I had to ask. I don’t remember a lot of places or lore from it, even though I’ve watched Ox’s streams/vids. I don’t know what Camp Liberty is or was about. 🤷♀️
Gosh I would love it if Oxhorn would do an entire lore series on Fallout London when it comes out, here’s hoping 🤞🏻🤞🏻.
Unfortunetly Bethesda will shut down Fallout London in 24h after it's release.
@@sw-gs. This aged so poorly it's not even funny.
@@dragonbornexpress5650 Same said your teacher about you after your mum last time visited her in school.
All this time she called her work colleagues 'dopes', but in the end, she realized she was the dope. Also, I find it funny she used the last of her strength to write a note stating the obvious of how she died an idiot.
There was also a stash in the 2nd stump of the tree that fell on her!😊
Living near skyline drive, this makes me so happy to see it in the game. It's so beautiful in real life at sunset.
Keep it up Oxhorn - it's always amazing to see all the details I miss when I fly through these areas.
I'm glad you started to cut down the stupidly long Combat Segments to just the final Shot of each Enemy
This is fantastic! How you discovered everything, how you tell this story... Love you for that! (i found a single small cabin down in the south near the border, locked with a cattle and written on it - do not enter! no idea what that is about!) (i found a little girl with 3 raiders, sad that his mole died! Should be related to that Molehat Man)
We're those the fake Brotherhood the guy at fort atlas tells you about?
I need to explore more tbh. Wow some amazing camp locations
Oxhorn the ramp you found with the skeleton and bikes I think is a reference to the Simpson episode Bart the daredevil
I could tune up a sheep squash even after they nerfed the living hell out of my bloodied build. The only problem now is I won't one hit him, but he could one hit me
Bro the first thing I'm doing if a tree fell on my leg, I'm going to write my last message so people can find it decades later
As a Power Armor user you could be killing that sheepsquatch (and many other tough enemies) much more efficiently.
always love the lore stuff, by the way when does the brotherhood and minutemen story videos return?
I believe he said there’s still several more Fallout TV show videos (& maybe more 76, but not certain on that) before the FO4 ones return, so no actual timeframe given.
Hey Oxhorn! Just wanted to say thanks for all those amazing fallout videos you've shown us. It helped me a little bit for your fallout 4 Lore Videos. Thanks for those amazing videos!
I subscribed to your account because you're my 1# favorite fallout RUclipsr.

I know that Bethesda likes to make things tankie but having to pump lead into a giant turtle for thirty minutes is insane!
Heh, Hugo was way worse.
Earle williams has entered the chat
Great stuff. Love when they do these hidden quests
I loved watching the Skyline Valley streams! Thank Ox for doing what you do!
I wonder if Ox will start streaming Horizon Forbidden West? 🤔
20:48 Bethesda had a chance to keep the meme alive by having a guaranteed sniper drop in that rock
Oxhorn, the ruins of the Shanendoah national park are roughly elliptical, not circular.
36:31 what a way to go
Its great they added a new area. After thousands of hours, we were all getting desperate for some new map expansion. They are trying and I am glad for that. See you at Fasnacht.
Finally, a Fallout lore video I don't want to skip. (Talking about the show).
Hi 👋🏻. I see you’re rubbing it in that you don’t like the show. He’ll eventually get back to FO4, but not quite yet.
I personally don't like watching Ox's videos on things I've personally seen and done,
so not gonna watch much videos about the show and Fallout 4 factions, since I've seen and
done it all in person. But for some I don't even watch the 76 videos and haven't played 76 at all and
then I have zero clue on what is going on during 76 live-streams.
Maybe Bee liked collecting bottlecaps as side hobby? Many people love collecting things other consider trash and think of them as their personal treasure.
The treasure was inside you all along
😂😂😂 "30 freaking minutes later." You are a legend ♡♡
Are you going to do a dlc playtrough?
I did the main quest and missed all of this.
tbh theres too few ants compared to real life nature trails
Great video, Ox. Wish I had the patience to track these down myself. By the way, I recommend changing all your legendary perk cards to to SPECIAL cards. At entry level 1 this will give you a +1 to six out of seven of your stats, and if you max them out you can get up to a +5 to those stats. This should help unlock more dialogue options.
Its been a minute since Ive seen one of your vids. Great as ever.
That random encounter is from when the BOS first showed up lol I haven't seen it since my first failed attempt at launching a nuke lol
35:20 remember how you mentioned that pre-war and at least in WV you were able to buy things for caps due to a promotion Nuka Cola was doing in the area.
Have a great weekend everyone!
I love the sarcasm nearing the end lol
Ogua.
Like Aww-goo-ah but fast and short.
Oogah. Lmfao wtf Ox.
Probably simpler to just say Awg-wa. Almost like agua (water) in Spanish, which he always butchers, as well.
I always buy Aqualan skin-cream and I say it like 'Avk'valan', starting like 'awkward'.
heavy guns kill them faster
Thank you for this video. I am glad I didn't try this "quest" myself I would have been peeped to put it mildly...
A suggestion if the bullet sponge enemies make it so hard for you get a Chainsaw with flamethrower attachment and some impulse greandes. Damage over time is the current key and even without perks you will reduce the amount of time invested into the bullet sponges.
16:15 By the order of BAGMAN, you will stop investigation of last ZEUS location.
bruh killed the whole park ecosystem 😂
I have a high luck character and I made their fusion core explode. It was definitely a fun random encounter
W-heel. 😀
FINALLY something that isn't Fallout TV, sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh.
I daresay, may Fallout 76 send you a Sheepsquatch for every new video you release on that dang show.
You're upset that a Fallout content creator is covering the most significant piece of Fallout media since Wastelanders? Weird choice but okay
@@laserhawk64. And? You ain't gonna do shit about it. Also, that's any business ever in the history of business: Regardless of intentions, it's about selling a product.
@@dragonbornexpress5650 You have a _remarkable_ grasp of the obvious.

Sure Ox. The friends. You keep interesting company lmao. Keep at it man love your vids
You and theepicnate NEED to collaborate that video would be awesome
When you say the Sheepsquatch are Bullet Sponges, I know the Freaking Feeling, I ran out of Ammo for Multiple guns when I fought one in the Ash Heap
Ahhh, the friends along the way...the friends along the way. Smiles and laughs.
Love his work, but sad he never covered more of 76's content. Nice to hear his sweet voice back in Appalachia.
He’s Live streamed the whole game and all the story missions he could find and most, if not all DLC & a ton of events. The only things he doesn’t cover is the seasonal grind bcuz he’s not into resource/quest grinding. Can’t blame him there.
They tried to jump springfield gorge
No I have to look for those statues I missed them while I was exploring to busy looking at the storm
The Sheepsquach reminds me of a Chort.
Honestly this game has become quite popular amongst my friends again. I even got a private server just for our group, love the lore it has to offer in the fallout universe
Ox: its not about the reward, its about the journey and the friends we made along the way
also Ox: *plays Fallout 76, an MMO, alone. then has a montage of slaughtering hostiles with a side of rude grifter NPCs*
I recommend checking out camp Liberty
I’m the 2,000th like 😃 👍
Where there is a pic-nick there is ants Ox
Hi 👋🏻
Where there is nit-pick, there is your typical Fallout-fan. ☢
(This is not aimed at anyone at particular, just a general observation, that includes me in there.)
Just imagine walking up to someone who is litterally wearing power armor and lying to them that you're part of the Brotherhood of Steel
Pretty sure only copper oxidizes to green
Bronze does oxidises green too
Don't forget about Brass =)
Both of those also contain copper. They are alloys.
@@Cheezitnator Agreed! I use all three of them in my work.
Turtles inside of ducks
the caps could've been left by other adventurers that were paying tribute to Bee's journey.
27:00 So a Dufflebag lays there for years since pre war... And the written note is just fine. Somehow the lore of Fallout 76 seems written in a hurry, why even would someone pre-war collect bottlecaps
I think The Mole just really wanted to be a mole miner, but couldn’t get the mutation, so he’s playing pretend.
Bad build if it takes you 10 minutes to kill a 1* sheepy…
Yup but i don’t think he tries anyway. He only completes the game and moves on.
Took me like 15 minutes and all my ammo, thing’s a bullet sponge lol
The reward isnt whats in the cache. The reward is the view to thise whi lived before the war. The cache is just a teaser to get you there. ❤
