I wouldn’t recommend a 5-string for a beginner, when everything is already hard and you don’t need the hassle of hitting the C by accident when aiming for the G. But I love my 5-string Dahlia. What has me really curious, though: where did you get a 5-string 45 years ago? 😀
@@AikiFuz Barcus berry made an acustic 5 string, I got it in 1977 for $500 . It had a piezo pickup and a 1/4 output jack. I still have it to this day. Jean luc Ponty played the same model.

There are good easy songs to learn.
It needs a 90deg 1/4 instrument cable.
