They kinda are, both are stealth games with a focus on parkour on small buildings, stones and trees, both offer bombs and distractions, hiding in bushes, somekind of not-to-easy-not-to-complicated combat system, horse riding

@FriendlyGhost-rf7tq that's because the gameplay video shown is that from a game called "Sengoku Dynasty" whish is a simulator game much like "Medieval Dynasty".
@@FeitanDoru Focus on stealth, parkour, gadgets, open world, same setting and similar time period. There is PLENTY to compare.
I keep saying if they would use the stealth movement mechanics of Splinter Cell and incorporate it into a ninja game you would have gold. Splinter Cell was basically a modern-day ninja. Just put some 16th century ninja tools in his hands, shuriken, calthrops, blowgun.. Add in some stealth kill cut scenes like Tenchu. There was a different one for every angle you approached an enemy.
Amazing idea! I loved Splinter Cell all the way. Hope they'll make a new one in the future
Splinter cell had way better gameplay than any assassin's Creed game. All the assassin's Creed games even the old ones have had bad gameplay, only thing going for them has been parkour.

Agreed! The revolutionary war one was great, I wonder if they're concerned with being eclipsed by Red Dead 2? I still play that game, and many elements of it are better than AC Valhalla, like the horses, trees/shrubbery , and the weather, side quests, realistic elements and NPCs aside (which obv RDR2 did better than anyone before or since)
Technically, Syndicate was in that time period, and honestly I don't think a cowboy Assassin's Creed game would work.
Imagine RDR2 with Assassin's Creed parkour mechanics, that would look weird as fukk😂
It should come with time, this is a franchise that can expand indefinitely. RDR2 shouldn't really be a concern either in a few years, everyone played it already, and if you produce a high-quality game that is somewhat worse than RDR2, it can still be an amazing experience. It's all about time.

I love how people talk about different genres Assassin Creed games could be in but in all honestly the assassin part is never in said genre. You'll be hyped about a western Assassins creed game sounds like you should just play Red Dead Redemption because the apparent best game in the franchise you are a pirate, barely an assassin.
Maybe Ubisoft with all there money should have just made a western game, or a japanese samurai game, like why getting putting assassins creed on it, oh it makes money and you lot fool for it EVERY DAMN TIME.

Not picky really. They haven't been historical in a very long time. I think it was unity. And that was the last assassins creed i bought. I've played all but haven't bought them because its not assassins creed anymore. Its dark souls now with ubisoft trying to get every penny out of you

I have to confess, I love ac and yeah it can be frustrating for people with micro transactions but I really like the extra content and it’s always your own choice to purchase them or not, considering they are not actually part of the base game, just charging less for them would be a cool thing 😀👌
Or imagine unlocking them by challenges like Ghost of Tshushima did in their Single Player and In their Multiplayer mode Legends, nah why reward the player, just let them buy boosters to speed our game up, that'll do.
@@ChoaticCrater Because games get bigger & more demanding and as a result, not cheaper. Micro transactions are not great but they can be a good compromise to get great games financed if done right.
And no, I don’t like micro transactions - I just know that a lot of stuff wouldn’t even get made without them. AC Unity was really terrible in that regard ( I love that games core to death ) the micros were insane - the only way to unlock a lot of stuff was to sit and wait for the money to arrive via the bank which was capped at a certain amount.
Fine for replayability , terrible for trying to unlock more stuff, not even mentioning the game had only one damn save file.
However; for better and for worse, Ubisoft learned it’s lessons and their micros are imo. a lot more acceptable today.
Summed up: unless we are all able to pay a lot more for a full title, micros help with funding and are a necessary evil for a lot of the biggest titles on the market.
There are exceptions of course but since people always demand better graphics and expensive innovation, they are imo. worth tolerating to a certain degree.
...Am I missing something? I haven't come across any microtransactions in any AC games...

As an Avid AC Fan, I will definitely be looking forward to purchasing the game! I am super excited about the news of a recreated game engine for this story line! The building feature is so unique! Im glad that Ubisoft is branching out their skills to more than just contract missions for blood! Haha, thanks for sharing!
What is the gameplay played in this video?
If you can really go prone when you want I'm excited for the types of kills I could make and stealth focus I've heard about so far.
If it's not on the level as Ghost of Tsushima in terms of combat then it'll be looked past. The benchmark that Ghost set is the level you have to each unless you go absolutely full stealth.

This will probably be the first AC I play. I rank Ghost of Tsushima very highly being my second favorite game of all time behind Red Dead Redemption 2, so i'm hoping this game hits similar levels.
Try origins out it’s great game decent length story amazing protagonist and a beautiful world and some good dlc too
The Ezio trilogy and 4 are the best the series has to offer, hands down. I'd recommend those over any others, especially over the RPG era games.

Honestly haven’t touched ac like actively since syndicate and a little bit of origins but I can’t wait for this, I feel like feudal Japan is objectively the best way to portray assassins personally. I would really enjoy customization being really good and I don’t know if the recent games have had them but bring back berserk darts
i liked the fighting mechanics in valhalla cause you were a brute viking. I just don’t know how they’ll transfer over to a samurai. I might have to play Valhalla again

Sounds like perfect game for me, as i am fan of AC rpg, Japanese culture, history and martial arts.
We've been waiting for this for YEARS. Now they decide to release the game after we already got ghost of tsushima. This is like a decade late.
About time we had a AC set in Japan,I'm sure most fans of the games have been eagerly waiting for one set in Japan with Ninjas and Samurai.
I know people will compare this to ghost of Tsushima but I feel like it’ll be a very different game. Ghost of Tsushima has smooth parrying, beautiful art, and an amazing story but I don’t see why this can’t also be good in its own way. I have a little more hope because personally I loved odyssey and origins and even Valhalla
Bruh by your preferences it seems like you like more open world and exploring games rather than a stealth base Assassin game. Both Odyssey and Valhalla has failed to give a feeling of assasin's to the player's. Hope Red dosen't disappoints us too

In reality, they thought he painted his skin, they didn’t even know black skin existed. So you’re going to make a game about a stealth assassin walking around Japan and make him stand out like a sore thumb. Are the NPCs going to act shocked as they see black man that they weren’t even aware existed or are they going to just act casual? Yasuke was nothing more than a modern day golf caddie. If Ubisoft doesn’t want to fuck this up they need to make the main character JAPANESE!

@SolidBoss7 the assassin's creed odyssey on ps5 has a lot of popping it felt like the engine is trying so hard to load all things at once as you move.
Only thing i worry about is that they make it grindy. Their games are really good its the grind thats ofputting and made me not want to finish valhalla.

It's just a place holder. The real title hasn't been announced yet.
Ac syndicate was named codename victory until full reveal of the game.. its codename for the project. They are picking from maybe 20 names for new game.
"codename" is not part of the codename. And as others has pointed out it's a placeholder.

Not a Samurai/Japanese game fan (just never really appealed to me) but as an AC fan I'll have to play it lol. The more I hear about it the more I'm getting interested in it though. However, I didn't like Syndicate's dual protagonist system and from what I've been reading and hearing this game is going to be like that.....swapping between two separate characters. Not a fan of that kind of game but I'm sure I'll get used to it lol. Hopefully it's just a rumor and not true.

I don't want a game to be anything but fun. Valhalla and Wildlands are thousand hour games. I see every game as a stand alone that survives on merits or doesn't. I think code red will deliver because Valhalla gave me almost 5000 hours and I still play every day!
Anyone that didn't play Valhalla after the Fallen Hero update cheated themselves out of hours of amazing game play.
