In today's Rocket League video, I coached a bronze player and put him in a supersonic legend ranked lobby and we played against pro players! Our goal was to see if it's even possible to win a game in supersonic legend with a bronze on our team.

No way he learned dribbling that quickly that's insane. I started learning to dribble when I was plat 2 and it took me at least 30min to dribble to half field

I was gold 3 took me over a week to learn to dribble... I can now almost air dribble in diamond.
point is I agree that "Bronze" plays better than any bronze I've seen... even when I started I wasn't that good and was put straight into gold.

He probably put it to public by accident but your RUclips was “inbetween” the point of him changing the publicity. Since he chose unlisted, you can still view it since technically you had the URL. If he were to hit private you wouldn’t have been able to see it after clicking on the video.

When you spend like 5 hours constant training you get pretty zoned in and having and having one of the best in the game coach you would also help tremendously probably just an actual gamer and quick learner

actually if u have somebody to explain you every single detail you would pick on the game much faster
When i first started my gc Friend taught me the same things but i was even near that level even after 150 hours, especially in the air.

i mean he had the unique advantage of being personally coached by a high ssl player, you kinda have to attribute part of it to that. not everyone just knows an ssl that can help them learn haha.

Regardless of “teachings”, actually being able to process how to use mechanics and making your fingers do EXACTLY what you’re wanting, is a TIME+CONSISTENCY equation. You don’t just teach someone how to do something In a game like rocket league and they magically comprehend it and magically have better mechanical control.. Not 24 hours.

Since he was a “bronze” I would agree here however not entirely as I’ve had friends who are like gold 3/barely plat, and who don’t know any mechanics, and I taught them how to do wave dashes, speed flips, half flips, some of air dribbles and other aerial shots within a matter of a few hours, and they picked up on it fairly fast as it’s all pretty simple to comprehend so long as you aren’t stupid and have some level of car control and used to using a controller/whatever your currently using for rocket league
It’s virtually impossible for any beginner to get fundamentals like dribbling, aerial car control, powersliding and demoing at a solid level without at least a few hundred hours on the game. I have concerns about the legitimacy of this matchup as Poki is genuinely a beginner with no experience (plus he’s being coached by Jon…)
Some people learn fast i peaked at gold2 and maaaaybe have 80 hours but lost interest due to only having time to play games once or twice a week these days

I totally agree man, nothing more to Say. All these people saying they are "Bronze", "silver" or "Gold" and know how to dribble are so wrong. If they really knew how to do that they would be minimum plat.
For one that started out as a bronze 2 almost 2 years ago and almost hit diamond after 450 hours , it is very possible for a bronze with a good knowledgeable patient coach like Musty to teach a bronze the mechanic basics to get them off and running. Obviously that bronze will struggle against SSL's that have considerable more time than the bronze but just getting the basic mechics is more then enough to help propel that bronze up the ranks.
I would love to have this oppurtunity. Great Video!

Yeah no way he was a bronze, when I was in bronze I couldn't even get the ball above my car while dribbling and that was when I was at my highest in bronze.
