- Today I show you the journey of crowning the best Rocket League freestyler in the world. In the NRG $10,000 freestyle tournament, 8 of the best freestylers use next level mechanics (musty flicks, flip resets, stalls, heli resets. air dribbles, and more) to wow the judges and get the highest score possible. 0 being the lowest score and 50 being the highest!

@TheFedHD this is true btw me and my friend were like gold 1 at best after playing every single day for houuurss every summer, we switched to pc and started from plat to dia and now we're champ 2-3 once gc1. We switch back to console and we puke its so fucking hard adjusting to low fps and lag, the high elo people on console are a different breed man..

The skill ceiling in this game has to be the largest out of any game. At least the games I know.
The skill floor too, that's increased a lot since rocket was made f2p. Pre-f2p plats would be absolutely smoked by today's plats.
Yep. It takes at least a good 500 hours of gameplay yourself just to really conceptualize HOW impossible what these guys are doing is. lol

this and geometry dash have the biggest skill ceilings imo. theres just so many ways to improve and its so hard to get to the top of the scale
what I liked about faith was that he didn't go for a long show off line, instead went for some incredibly hard moves that were incredible just on their own
Next competition judges should write their scores prior to the discussion. So everyone doesn't get biased by the previous person's rating. Unless it was aimed to be this way. I enjoyed watching the competition. Good work. :)

You can tell the order, it’s based off of how much knowledge they have about freestyling. And the girl in the end straight up copied them every single time

Faith was the only one who was not afraid to experiment and take risks, while other freestylers did the same thing every time, doing what they did best. Every time Faith surprised us like the first time.

Faiths shot is crazy but mechanically maktufs is so much harder to do. I don't think the judges understand how difficult that mechanic by Maktuf is bc they probably never tried it but it definitely deserves to give him the win, especially since he did it THREE TIMES in 1 shot

@@mariuslazar8379 His final reset he didn't get the finish touch which technically makes it less valid however the method he did it makes it much more valid. There are also freestyles like Jxsh who can do that sorta shot moderatly consistently. Maktufs shot was all freestyled too as he said, like he just did it off the top of his head which is even more crazy. And obviously faiths is freestyled too but they're very different. A 3 time in a row incredibly difficult mechanic is imo better than a slightly more repeatable shot. I feel the main reason Faith won with that shot was because the judges aren't the main creative freestyles, like jzr sorta is but he's not one of the main pro FS, he a content creator fs yaknow and then others are non mechanical so the mechanic that they wouldn't have tried would be less rated bc it is less visually appealing so I understand why the Faith shot won but I disagree with it. Obviously no disrespect to either of the players and Faith is obviously one of the best in the world and incredible

I think there should be 2 segments to freestyle: called plays, like you would do in Horse but each player separately calls 3 plays and gets 3 attempts to execute each play - demonstrates ability to execute a pre-determined plan; and freeplay segment where players are encouraged to be totally creative and reactive.
Really like having a shot clock in freestyle comps, good innovation.
