      Your scam is coming to an end. If your one prop actually worked you'd showcase it actually driving on a real road in real conditions but you can't because it doesn't. Your scam can only do circles in a parking lot in short cuts. I dare you to show it perform uncut in the real world, like up a hill or on a long trip. Ponzi scam

    It is so much smoother than what Luna was, already! Thanks for posting. My guess is that the PI vehicles will be another large step in refinement and quality. The precision of the CPC parts is so much greater than the vacuum resin infusion of the Gamma.

    Pure excitement. I definitely enjoyed it vicariously. Thanks for sharing. The fast as possible once around allowed more people to ride in a shorter amount of time, but I would have wanted to savor the experience and begged to drive the same route only slow cruising so I could have greedily enjoyed it longer. Plus I would have been waving to all the onlookers cheekily! Yes, it would have taken longer, but also reserved more charge for more people to experience I would guess.

    Apologies for some of the funk in some of the reply threads, I did end up deciding to block comments from aussieideasman, which is a bit of a bummer and I'll certainly take responsibility for derailing that! But I'm not a "youtuber" by trade and don't feel like debating my ethics and communication skills as a primary topic of my channel. I also plan to sleep rather than try to protect people from being trolled, and while some comments were welcome, it was just leading to toxicity I'm not cool with here. So that's what i chose to do. Check out his channel and bring all the debate you'd like over there.
    As for here, do your own diligence on if I'm misleading anyone, and I definitely own a bias of being positive RE Aptera.

    Three wheels. But unlike the Reliant Robin, the Aptera has no differential for Top Gear to modify and trick millions of viewers into thinking it's an unstable car.
    Nor is there enough room for them to install larger wheels and raise the center of mass, like they also did to the Reliant Robin.
    Aptera might stand a chance!

    • @ccibinel
      @ccibinel 8 месяцев назад +2

      It is also more inherently stable as a tadpole. That said that coverage of the Reliant Robin should have required full disclosure. This is the kind of dirty tricks that the industry can pull.

    I do have a question. Someone somewhere stated that batteries can not be charged and used at the same time. So my question is, is that true? Now I personally don't care if the Aptera is using solar power to run the vehicle and the batteries as needed, but wanted to confirm what is actually happening. BTW, I'm in investor, currently at #84, so this is not a trolling question, I'm just curious.

    • @richardryley3660
      @richardryley3660 8 месяцев назад +3

      I'm pretty sure the Aptera can charge while driving, but the catch is, if you're going more than 40 miles per day, it will discharge faster than it charges. In fact, it probably discharges any time it is moving, solar power or not.
      If the question is whether the solar power reduces the energy used while driving, I'm pretty sure it does, by a fairly small amount.

    It feels like in tight turns, the steering wheel won't cut it. It doesn't need to be round, but perhaps a top part may be needed? Or am I wrong? 😄

      I don't think we know the ratio of the PI builds yet etc., but I could possibly settle for a "squircle" like the cybertruck.. I adjusted quickly to the yoke in X/S Plaid though so it's still my first choice for visibility+looks+comfort.. it really only gets a tad annoying at low speed in parking lots but I also adjusted quickly to that. I do get it though for doing track racing or something, maybe you'd want a top bar.

      My wife and I had 2 long rides in an alpha back in November of 2021. The prototypes are already capable of much more than what you can show to a large group of people giving rides.
      Don't discourage these clips or opportunities! Remember that you are experiencing a prototype that most manufacturers would never let you see - or if you did you would be bound by NDAs. Aptera has been more open than anyone I can think of ever - and I have worked with many automotive manufactures around the world in the US, Europe, and Asia.

      Remember Tesla uses the excuse that "it doesn't have to" to excuse the fact that the Tesla Cybertruck has not been crash-tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety or by any federal regulator. A spokesperson for the NHTSA said it doesn't plan to test the Cybertruck next year for its five-star safety ratings program.

      I never mentioned Tesla. On the other hand, Tesla makes product and has for many years. Aptera has made nothing. So you can't compare them. You know better as it's another whataboutism. Please be more mature in your responses. You know that Aptera needs to start making a product then it can be compared to what is already out on the market.
