I have 3! 7 year old girl, 4 year old girl and 11 month old boy. I love it, and even though it is harder now splitting my time between the 3, seeing the love they all have for each other makes it so worth it. The older kids loose some one on one attention from us, but its made up with the love they gain from having another sibling. ❤

    • @rulouri
      @rulouri 3 года назад +2

That’s exactly how I feel right now. We’re having boys ages 8yo, 3 yo, and 2 months. The oldest seems to have lost some attention, but he is at a stage where he can appreciate being alone for some time and he also knows to ask for attention when he really misses being seen and heard one on one.

As the mom of 8, I can honestly say having 3 is the hardest....when we went from 3 to 4, it was somehow strangely easier and #5 hardly made a ripple in the dynamics of our family. I had 5 kids in 6 years, so they were very close together, then 5 years later (after being told I couldn't have any more) we had 3 more in a 5 year span. No matter how many you have, HAVE FUN! The time flies even on days you think it's dragging.

I'm due with my third in 5 days, I have two girls and this one is a boy. People constantly say how I must be so happy that I got a boy which I am but I love having girls and totally wanted another one :) My husband works in health care and when he tells his patients that he's having a third most people ask if he's insane or that he must love punishment. People just say ridiculous things and you totally have to ignore them. Great video :)

Brodie Couch I just had my third (a boy) after two girls and people are always commenting on how we must be happy we finally have a boy, we would have been happy (maybe a teeny bit more) with a girl. I find family is the worse with comments and like to congratulate me on giving them a boy. Just have to smile and tell my girls to ignore them lol
Also it's been easier to go from two to three kids then it is was going from one to two kids

I'm a fellow Mum of 3 Emily and I felt the exact same as you (in the beginning). My 3rd was by far my easiest baby, he just slotted into our routine, he didn't create any extra work as I was already doing it for 2, he was such a chilled and easy baby that i actually considered a 4th... But then.... he got to 3 ish and it was like some one had flipped a switch on my life and I realised that having 2 children and a BABY was a doddle but having 3 CHIlDREN is a different kettle of fish! 😂😂 now they are 11, 9 and 6 and man are they hard work! I wouldn't change them though, treble the work but treble the love right ❤️❤️

Watch your videos all the time. Couldn’t pass up the opportunity to comment on this video. I also have 3 children ages 6, 5 and a 10 months old (2 boys and a girl in the middle). I just couldn’t agree with you more especially about ‘middle child syndrome’. You do however make it look so easy but I also like your honesty 😄. Keep those videos coming, they’re really helpful.

I have four boys 14, 12, 8, and 4. I love it. We do get stares and comments. It really doesn't bother me. Most people mean well. I'm so proud of my boys. It is loud, messy, as they get older they will eat, eat, eat, and eat more. I enjoy your videos.

Oh my god Emily! I’m in tears! This was such an honest and heart to heart chat! I’m so happy that you did this! I have two boys that are three years apart and you definitely inspire me to have a third and be proud and in love even if it does turn to be another boy! I would love to be a mom of three boys just like you!! If only I could :);) I love your family and I watch your videos daily without fail after I put my boys to bed :) Keep up the awesome work Emily!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I describe it as busier, not harder. A lot of ppl ask me if its harder...no, busier! I find ppl forget that children grow and become more independent with time and can even help with the younger ones:) It’s a little crazy for a few years, then it becomes easier.
We did a larger age gap between number 2 and 3, almost 5 years💁🏼.
Now our eldest is 10, second is 8 and 3rd is 3...things are awesome right now and I love where we are at! Kids are becoming more self sufficient.
Yes, we have become incredibly savvy with holidays, we just rent condos at some very lovely destinations or find all inclusives that allow for 5 and book flights during non peak seasons. It’s all good! You make it work💁🏼

I don't know what sleep is anymore, but i agree that I don't feel I have extra work to do. Bit of an age gap does help too. 👍🏻

Just want to share that now I have four kids I look fondly back on having “just 3”. This is not to minimize the work of raising 3 children by any means, but having four is, no lie, that much more chaos. Having said that, it is also true that your heart grows even more than you thought possible when you have a fourth. I cried when I was pregnant with our youngest cause I worried about this! But our baby girl (near 6 yo now) is such a shining light, and brings so much joy to the family. xo

I have always though 3 was the perfect amount and this just makes me want a third even more!! I know what you mean about the comments from other people, I am the oldest of 4 girls so I remember all the things people would say to my parents. People really have no filter when it comes to giving comments about children or pregnancy!

Great video Emily!! Everything you say is absolutely true! As a mom of 4 daughters 13 - 20 , the ridiculous comments from strangers do eventually stop when the “baby” is around school age. Most likely because people are unable to tell if the girls are siblings or just a group of friends hanging out. It’s temporary but certainly very annoying!! Keep up the great work!!!

You are right about age gap. It does play a big part in a family. Just sharing my experience. I got 4 kids of age gap just 1 yr apart each and the youngest is 10 yrs apart from the 4th! when the first 4 were younger, yes Im a super duper busy mommy. But one good thing is due to their very close age gap, they were able to play with themselves and be occupied. Plus I do set routines like mealtimes, nap times, bedtimes, playtime so that Im able to focus on chores without constantly getting interrupted. Tiring but it's all worth it cos I am a mom! When no.5 arrives, the first 4 kids are big enough and are able to really help me around the house already while I keep focus on the baby :) Now they are 16,15,14,13 and 3

I clicked on the right vid this morning. I am due next month with my third boy - all 3 years apart. I always worry that one kid may feel left out especially because my 2 boys have such a beautiful bond. It was nice hearing how easily the third one fits in. People do have negative things to say when they hear it's a third boy but I have embraced it and accepted that i won't have any girls.
