The Chemical Wedding is one of my most favorite albums ever. There are so many gems on that record; the Tower definitely being one of the notables. This track still delivers so many years later.
This is one of my all time favorite albums - I'd go so far as to call it a perfect album, up there with Blackwater Park and The Sound of White Noise. More importantly, it was an absolute revelation for anyone coming from a strong Maiden background. Bruce's solo work isn't NWOBHM; it's straight up METAL metal, heavy as hell, and somehow even more theatrical vocally.
I remember when I was around 14 when I got a cassette of this album... I became an instant fan, I'm now 36.. Bruce and Iron Maiden will always be a part of of my music playlists.
I'm 41. When I got out of school that day, I walked straight to the local record store. We used to hang out there (like stereotypical metalhead teenagers), so the owner knew exactly what I was looking for.* Accident of Birth was so damn good, that I didn't even think it was possible for a follow-up album to be BETTER. Suffice to say... Chemical Wedding totally raised the bar for me, in terms of how GREAT a metal album could be. *I got the album on CD, though. I was probably done cassettes by, like, 1994. 🤘😜🤘
40 this year and First time see iron Maiden with Megadeth in ed hunter tour in 99 in Milano After 26 years of hundreds of band listen no One beat the Maiden/Bruce. Bruce Is Metal
I never comprehend the fact that Adrian Smith NEVER gets the respect that he deserves. I know that he had the assistance of Roy Z on the solo albums, but Adrian is just in a different plane. AS far as Metal guitarists, the sheet he rolls out is beating the wind. And it's not just the fact that he can do it harder than anybody, he can put a reason to it at the same time. And make it beautiful.
I always thought it. Maiden's albums with Adrian Smith are in a higher level than others. He's not fast like Malmsteen or Van Halen but he's very underrated because he's an extremely talented songwriter on guitar. He has an unmistakable feeling.
Lovers in the Toweeeeerrrrr, the Hangman smiles... My tarot cards smile in my deck when I play this masterpiece... Dickson is a funkin' monster of metal and ocultism... Just love him...
HI. The album is 100% influenced by William Blake's life and work. Bruce hired a hotel room, left the world outside and filled its walls with his favourite Blake's works. This is how he wrote all the lyrics and some of the music together with Roy Z. (Dickinson's autobiography)
It's hard to pick one song from this album so I don't even try. I play the bass so I try to out do Rhino every chance I get. This is some of Bruce Dickinson's best work.
The name of the song is enough to tell that Bruce is, at least, a profound reader of european tradition,Chemical wedding, one of the most importat book of alchemists in medieval times, Andreas was the author
Cant get over how catchy this song is. What i love so much more is the story this whole album tells when listening to it completely. Its all of metals greatest aspects in 1 album
I attended "An Evening with Bruce Dickinson" last year and one of the questions submitted by the audience was if he had considered making another solo album. The simple answer was yes, but of course thinking about it and actually having one in the making are totally different things, but we can live in hope can't we?
With a record producer playing bass, an awesome solid kick ass drummer, genius writing musically and lyrically and Adrian Smith on guitar you can't lose.

Daaamn!!!! Bruce Dickinson Official channel?!?!?! Was there any announcements about it on social media??? Been a fan since 1995 and it feels strange i didn't knew about it!
Coming across a newly published video by Bruce really had me wondering for a minute what this was all about. I did not remember the song titled and clicked play with the anticipation growing, but immediately when the song started I went 20 years back in time and found myself singing along with the lyrics. Amazing how the brain works! 😊
Bruce, your solo work is amazing, please release a new solo album, Tyranny of Souls was such a great breath of fresh air in 2005 and its been way too long!
In my opinion, the material from "Accident of Birth", "The Chemical Wedding", and "Tryanny Of Souls" are far more impressive than anything Bruce has done with Iron Maiden since returning in 1999/2000. This is masterful stuff!!!!!
I would like to visit an alternate timeline where Bruce, Adrian, and Roy Z kept their band together and continued to make new music. They were so good. Better than Maiden? Maybe. But I can't complain about Maiden reforming, either. Still, what might have been..
@@louiselockett2905 Um..there have been three guitarists in Maiden since 2000. I prefer them with two. Adrian and Dave. I appreciate your love for "The Book of Souls". I personally don't think it is nearly as strong as any of the three albums I mentioned above. It's all good. We like what we like.
Impressive. Seems to get back to metal roots where guitars and vocals are emphasized and drums and bass carry the song to where it needs to go. Love the backing vocals as well. Don't get to hear that as much on Maiden albums maybe because Bruce is such a strong singer already.
I’m a massive Maiden and Bruce solo fan. Chemical Wedding is simply one of the greatest metal albums ever, on par with Paranoid, Master Of Puppets and Reign In Blood. Incredible how different from Iron Maiden this is, yet still within the same headspace.
Sin duda, la mejor época creativa de Bruce en la que alcanzó su madurez como cantante. Tuve la suerte de verlo en Santiago en 1997 y su voz estaba en el peak. Impresionante.

Absolutely one of the best metal albums ever. I’m 60 years old and have been a metal fan for over 45 years.
Maiden is the best band
May you live to be 100!!! Keep rockin' forever.
It's crazy to think that Bruce put out two of the best metal albums of the 90s when heavy metal was a bad word in 97-98.
The bad word in the 90s was grunge.
Nu new metal bullshit
Two of the best metal albums EVER!!!
@@ivanscissorhands2008
Not at all - Soundgarden and Alice In Chains were awesome and heavy too. And I'm sure that Bruce digs those bands.
These were the natural follow ups to 7th son
Saying "underrated".... It doesn't even come close to explaining it. This is a masterpiece.
Well Said Kenny.😎🤘

Good, because the last Maiden album was weak, IMO. I think they need some fresh blood behind the console.

Honestly the 2 best albums from this man got me through my teens.

There are twelve commandments
There are twelve divisions
Twelve are the pagans who have mapped the sky
In the outer circle
To the inner sanctum
From the octave at the end of time
The fountain, the trinity
The pilgrim is searching for blood
To look for his own free will
The stone of infinity, washed in the flood
Lovers in the tower
The moon and sun divided
And the hanged man smiles
Lovers in the tower
The moon and sun divided
Let the fool decide
In the atom circle
Where we break the stars
Hammer into anvil, stuffing out the sun
Witness all the killing
See the birth of Mars
Our religion thrown into the fire
The fountain, the trinity
The pilgrim is searching for blood
To look for his own free will
The stone of infinity, washed in the flood
Lovers in the tower
The moon and sun divided
The hanged man smiles
Lovers in the tower
The moon and sun divided
The magician laughs
Lovers in the tower
The moon and sun divided
And the priestess kneels
Lovers in the tower
The moon and sun divided
Let the fool decide
Lovers in the tower
The moon and sun divided
And the hanged man smiles
Lovers in the tower
The moon and sun divided
Let the fool decide
Lovers in the tower
The moon and sun divided
The priestess kneels to receive
Lovers in the tower
The moon and sun divided
The magician laughs
