This is my sixth standup show "Power Tool" where I do jokes about airplane turbulence, DIY, pissy cats and writing a play for a celebrity diva in order to buy radiators. Features puppets.

I have been intently on RUclips for 9 months now. Watched lots of comedy. RUclips keeps recommending comics that I have no interest at all in again and again and again. Finally, RUclips has recommended you. Why have they been hiding you from me for so long?
What arcane trail of videos did I have to click on in order for RUclips to finally decide to put you in my 'recommended for you' list? It must be like a video game where you complete arcane tasks to get to a hidden level with the really good stuff.

Dead crowds usually suck the life out of an act but Diane kept powering on, giving a far better show then her audience deserved.
They were nice - maybe you're right that they were not the most energetic, but that's live comedy. They were lovely tho - I mean, no one thew a bottle, so there's a positive!

What can I say? I love this lady. I saw this show at the Cheese and Grain in Frome when Diane was tuning it up for the Edinburgh Festival. It was brilliant then, and it's brilliant now, and, I got the chance to meet and chat with her before the show. I found her to be very charming and very willing to take the time to talk to her fans.

This year I discovered Brooklyn99 and Diane Spencer. Rich intelligent humour in the subjects of gender, race, class, stereotypes, but wholly free from punching down and tired cliches. Such a welcome relief!
Having subscribed and watched 5or6 of the specials over the past few days (lockdown soundtrack to ham-fisted DIY), this is my favourite: as an event lighting engineer I've had a fair few Nancys over the years! (the nightmare acts, not the boys...)
Keep up the good work, as soon as the event industry starts again and I can afford anything but noodles and cat food, I promise I'll be buying!

It is so rare to find a comedian who is brilliant at telling personal stories. We have plenty who gripe about politicians and airlines and few who really give you a feel for their own experiences. Keep it up and see if you can do some more shows in America. We love our gingers around the eastern shoreline.

I've over-thought this quite a lot over a fair amount of time, and my opinion is that Diane is the foremost comedian currently operating. There is more breadth than Terry Alderton, more charm and lateral thinking than Bill Burr or Jim Jefferies, and more sincere risk taking emotional nakedity than Stewart Lee. She is gutsy, creative, charming and incredibly funny. I love her. You know..in a respectful way.

I had to google her , I had to learn a bit of stuff. I am not English/British so I had a bit of a hard time here and there but my god was this a fulfilling experience ! At the beginning I thought this was a bit different than your other 1 hr stuff, but I think it is evolving and I like it !
Now what I want to know is ... when are you going to put that name of yours to full effect and jump on the stage in a Princess outfit of sorts ( at least before it changes for good ! ) :D Keep it up M'lady !
+Emrah Ekinci It is admittedly a very different show, the most linear of them, but I'm still experimenting. The next one will be different from this one, which is just the way with arty types. The princess reference is sadly phasing out, sometimes when I mention it, the younger members of the audience clearly don't know what I'm referring to! Thanks for your support :)

+allfiredup93 Thank you - glad you liked it. Well, I guess just start, the terrifying thing is getting up on stage, I still get butterflies now. Ask for a spot at an open spot night, find out how long you get. Say it's five mins, write five mins of jokes and time yourself when you practice, then go for it. Also, always be nice and graceful. Putting the 'ow' back into the housing crisis, and that Diane was 5 years ago, and nothing has really changed has it youngling, and your lovely little stories about living in a bit of a shit hole, but I must say I lived in my car for six months (I was posh homeless - a bit like Nancy) until I bought my little shit hole, but I've gotta say the exploding former owner really trumped me. And yes seriously and amazingly morbidly funny, funny stuff. I do hope your house is a bit better now. I'm so pleased to say mine is - it's a re-cycling and up-cycling palace. Oh and I love the Ivy restaurant and their goose shepherds pie.

Just have to say, the imitation of Nancy's accent is so hilarious. The parts: "I work ah so hard," "I'm a consultant," and "Diane!...you will have a macchiato" made me laugh so much.
