I was taught this 30 years ago by my Tae Kwan Do instructor (ITF), we would do this at nearly every class, he said we should rub our faces to keep looking young, rub the hair so as not to lose your hair as you grow old, rub the places on the body where you feel pain. He's from Korea from the Chung Moo Kwan school.

This activity has been one of my healing methods since I was a very young man. I didn't do the rubbing of my hands, though, and never knew how powerful adding this to the routine could be. Thank you.
This is all absolutely correct.
I have been a Level 1, 2 & 3 Reconnective Healing Practitioner since 2009 & this was the very first exercise we were given, in our very first certification class. To feel & to play with the energy.
To also stretch out your hands in front of you, facing eachother & feel a ball of energy between your hands. Stretch it out further & further to make it bigger & bigger. Then to "throw our ball of energy to another person" to see if they felt it. (Which was VERY awkward to MOST of Us. Especially to me, as Alternative Healing was completely new to me & this was my very first experience.lol)
But we all eventually came out of our shells & had alot of fun. Feeling, experiencing & Learning about this type of Energetic Healing Modality. I'm going into My 11th year now as a RCH Practitioner & absolutely love everything about it. It's simply beautiful. 😊

Its strange. I've been doing this unknowingly since 12-13 years whenever my daughter gets sick or she has some health issues. Being a mother i had a strong belief that i can heal my child through mantras. So i use to chant gayatri mantras and mahamrityunjaya mantras rubbing my hands constantly; with my eyes closed and put my hands on the part that needs healing. Its unbelievable that no matter how much pain she had , it use to be cured. I think, we all mothers have that healing power naturally. Its just that we need to apply it with immense faith. Thank you.

Reiki Thomas So does this move transfer positive energy to the targeted area, or remove bad energy? If the latter, how can I get rid of the negative energy?
From what I understand, the good energy moves out the negative energy.
I was about to comment that this is based on reiki principals 🕉️. My reiki master has never gotten back with me on my level 2 class, so I'm going to attend a class from another master.
You do it with your intention. Just like this vid says. Some people (healers, body workers doing massage or acupressure) touch the floor/ground after they have worked on others. They imagine the energy going into the earth. Some people use salt water and dip their hands or wash their hands with it. Some use just regular water to wash hands and imagine the negative energy being washed away from their hands. There are other ways as well. For example, intentional breathing- breathing in positive energy imagining bright white light, and breathing out negative energy imagining black cloud or grey color.

Wow Dr. Mandell I'm a Reiki Master and rubbing my hand together gave me goosebumps going through my body. Playing with the energy between my hands I can feel the energy moving between my hands again after moving the energy all over my body I got goosebumps as it moves. This is a great energy boost when you feel tired. Namaste

I used to do this for my old dog. Afterwards she would have a truly blissful time napping or just resting and then get up and act like a puppy again. I have done this for myself in guided visualization and meditation and it truly is amazing. I love the visualization of holding the sun in my hands, moving my fingers though the warmth and feeling the healing and beauty go though my body. Another great thing to visualize is floating on soft, fluffy clouds that massage me and make me perfect and so positive.

🙏 Thank you for sharing this information in such a clear, precise manner!! I can say as a trained Reiki Master many, many decades ago I used this hand technique as I was preparing for a Level Two Reiki class. I would say it to my friends daily with excitement as I would put my hands together just as you describe and I would then say to them, “I am going to get my hands amped up. I am so excited”. After my second level class I came home and found myself tripping the electrical breakers and popping light bulbs out when I would turn on a light switch in my cottage at home, my lights in my healing space within a salon, and just about every day for about a week this would happen and I could feel my hands “buzzing”. So I called my teacher and asked, “Do you know what it going on”? She told me she had heard this could happen yet it had not happened with any of her own students. She then told me to simply place my hands in a warm epsom salt bath while asking for the frequency to be more steady. So I did and I quit popping circuit breakers and causing light bulbs to “pop”. Years later I took a class in Healing Touch and this turned out to be one of our first exercises in class and oh what fun we had. To feel this energy is a true blessing. I have to admit, throughout my lifetime I have learned to work with these healing energies in ways that have amazed me. It has taken time and commitment, but I can still call on this work anytime I remember to do so. As we learned in so many of my classes - the more we work with our intentions, meditations, and healing sessions it can often be like training a muscle - it just keeps getting stronger and stronger and easier to work with when you can quiet your mind and let your hands simply do the “walking” about your own body or while working on others. Dear Dr. Alan, I am impressed to note that you actually do read what your subscribers comment about your videos and for this reason only I am commenting myself. I am newish to the internet, my kids say I am a complete dinosaur and so I am cautiously looking for genuine people to learn from. First off, thank you for your 'rub your hands video' you are so kind to remind us all about stuff we should all know about but have forgotten. Many years ago (about 25 years ago!) my little girl was pushed by her brother and hit her back on some metal, I heard her scream out in pain, but I rubbed the painful area with my hands and whispered in her ear 'its gone.... its gone... its gone' she immediately stopped crying and carried on playing. I remember looking at my hands quizzically as I returned to do the housework. Later she told me that the sharp acute pain disappeared as if by magic. And since then anytime they knock themselves they come to me to give the area a rub! It never occurred to me to try this same technique on self healing as I really need it, and so I will do this on my aches and pains.

I was skeptical, but figured it wouldn't hurt to try it, nothing to lose. I'm a nonreligious Christian, and I prayed for Our Lord's assistance.
I have chronic pain from fibromyalgia and I did this exercise. Surprisingly, it reduced my level to a 5 from a 7. Hmm. Probably placebo effect, but IDC, as long as it works. Anything to cut down having to take pain reliever.
