As a medical assistant you do get more benefits when you are certified such as the pay, and you are able to do more things. My current job Im at the people who aren’t certified are limited to doing things whereas the ones who are certified do everything but every place is different
This is why it's important to try to get certified. You learn things the practice might not have the time and patience to teach you.The hours can be long. It could be a 9-5, but you're done when the last patient is done. Which is a con, especially when they're late.
We had medical science 1 and 2 at my high school which I took. You learn medical terminology and all of the above our teacher was an ER nurse I learned so much I still remember a lot after about 13 years of being out of high school.
Very true anyone can be a medical assistant without a certification but you do have to be certified to give injections. I’m a registered medical assistant and I love my job but now I’m going to school to become an RT!!! Good luck girl ♥️

Hi love if you want to know about being a medical assistant there is a awsome ebook online I added the name and location on my channel. Im currently a student MA and it has helped encourage and inform on whats next and how to make the most out of the career! this has been such a great resource and the journal thats included it's fun. I cant wait to look back at it in a year. Good luck with everthing!
I’ve been on my current job for a 1 year and 2 mos, after applying relentlessly to MA positions before and after I graduated in 2015, with my Associates in Science: God is good! What I’ve found out how to go by handling my return to school business or any other personal health business I usually make my appointments and let my Nursing super know that I need certain days off because I am human and my health & livelihood comes first.
Hey Seriah! I'm a new subscriber. I'm gonna start my medical assistant on January . I'm so excited. please do more videos about the program and the whole process. Thank you !!
This video was so informative 😌 I loved it ! I’m interested in being a medical assistant but was going crazy trying to find a program that would fit my schedule and such ! And watching this video helped calm me a lot ❣️
Awh thank you so much! I plan to do this weekly especially as I get more established with the position so I can offer a lot more tips to MAs trying to go the premed/prenursing/prepa route! So you should definitely keep up so I can share more on how I’m adjusting. I plan to post this weeks either Saturday or Sunday!
Same here!❤ not certified and just started at a dermatologist office! I am a licensed esthetician so I'm hoping that knowledge will help me alittle because this is already super intimidating!! And I love our lord❤❤🎉🎉

I would not feel good without being certified by a licensed school. How do you know how to administer the injections and the correct dose? I wouldn't feel comfortable going to a clinic where the staff is not certified or licensed. Safety and proper qualifications are important when it comes to healthcare.
Great video! Thanks for sharing your day to day experience of your first week. (Congrats if you're still there and liking it). I recently applied for a MA position, wanting to get that experience and see if I like medicine. Your video has helped. I'm only skeptical about the pay because ya' know, adulting? 😅
Thank you for your comment! I definitely decided to move to a different field it was better for my mental health. However, my goal is never to discourage anyone from pursuing medicine. So I definitely recommend giving it a shot of course before making such a huge commitment. As for the money I would not recommend the field if that is solely the reason you are in it. Not worth it. Thank you for supporting my page it truly means a lot!!
Hey Seriah, this video was so helpful 🙂. Can you do a video on the hiring process and what to expect in an interview? I just graduated from MA school and would love some insight on how an interview is.
hey love i been watching your videos last minute doing research making sure what im picking isn’t stupid because of the pay my goal is also to become a surgical tech or a RN just because i have the dream to really work my way to become a nurse but college was never for me. my trade school is super experience but also really known and good they give you 3 certifications including EKG, VACCINE & Phebolomy live in new jersey. The starting pay is around 19$-21 is this start okay .. i know is what comes from your heart and it’s my decision i want to do it bad just also its money on our hands too ..
Girl you just out me on ! I’m in school for medical records . I really wanted to try M. A but the school I’m enrolled in doesn’t have them courses . But hey maybe with my experience I’m learning I’ll be able to get a M. a job
I graduated in July I start my job Tuesday at a urology clinic I’m nervous because I didn’t go to the externship back when they offered it and I haven’t practice my skills since july 🥴… how quick did u catch on ?
@@tatyanajanae4415 I didn’t complete Externship (it was optional) with my recent MA program, and I also received my diploma/graduated. I did this medical assistant program virtually for 6 months in 2021, and now I’m in the onboarding process for working at a hospital. I have to get my MA certification within 90 days of hire(which is ok because I take my exam next month). Now I did complete another Medical Assistant back in 2009 after highschool, but I never got hired for a Medical Assistant EVER or certified, I was just a stay at home mom with no MA work or any work experience until this recent job gave me a job offer. If they didn’t give me a chance I was going to go to every clinic around me, and ask can I do Externship or volunteer. If I was you I would hit up urgent care centers, and ask can I help.
I just went to technical school for medical assistant and I got hired at my externship.I got hired at new doctors office, strange that doctors office hired medical assistant with no medical assistant skills 😳 I did learn most my skills at externship

Hello Seriah, you mentioned in the video that you walk with God, or at least believe in Him. But later you say that you practice shadowing, which is not something that is for Christians to do, that is like following another God.
Hi thank you for your comment. I was referring to shadowing doctors which has nothing to do with my relationship with God. Secondly, as Christians another thing we are technically not supposed to do is judge others. Everyone is on their own journey and some may be more advanced than others. Have a great day.
