    I start an MA program in 2 days and i’m EXCITED! As a young mom (21) who was going through depression for years and never had a plan or motivation to pursue a career this is big for me. I don’t mind being looked down upon by people in higher positions because just a few months ago I couldn’t see myself doing anything in life. This is me showing myself that I can apply myself and be something so i’ll take whatever comes with the experience. Maybe later on i’ll end up furthering my education and moving up the ladder 💖

      Amen to this love. I pray that all goes well in Jesus’ name amen amen and amen. I’m in the same spot. 21 a mom and wanting to go into this field of work. I was down a lot at a losing and told myself I couldn’t do the work and I couldn’t do jobs like nursing. But this year will be different, we will show ourselves how much we really can do when I our minds are out to it and when God is in His rightful place in our lives we can do it all. You got this. And I know you’ll be soo proud of your self and the beautiful things you accomplish in life. Have a blessed one. I wish you nothing but great thing and I pray your journey in this field is filled with nothing but blessings, happiness, and fulfillment.💕

If I practiced these skills everyday maybe, but unfortunately my MA clinical skills course is only 1 day a week through my community college. The good thing is that you will be helped, you’ll have a preceptor who will be with you and show you the robes. They know that you’re still a student, so you won’t be alone during your externship look at it as another class. You will be having hands on experience with the things you’re learning in school. Don’t be so hard on yourself you’re learning and they know that. You’ll get it! ☺️☺️☺️🦋🦋🦋 keep going. & speak positive during the process if your heart is in it, it’s for you. I wish you the best.

    Hello! I have interviews to become a medical assistant with no experience at all. The only Issue I’m a little nervous about the medication part. I know whenever you bring the patient in you go over their medication with them but some big words are hard for me to pronounce. And tips about that? I’m a smart person for sure but it’s just that one thing lol

      Oh girl that happens lol. Practice makes perfect the doctors can’t even pronounce the medications sometimes just continue to practice.

      @@Shakyraspeaks I always worry about the little things😂😂😂but I just wanna be the best. I’m coming in working with people who are certified and have a lot of experience so of course I’ll be the new girl lol. I just wanna do a good job. I really hope I like this job and it’s worth it. I’m looking to stay at 1 job and stick it out. I only have office experience within the hospital so I’m super nervous. I just know it’s a busy place and the MA’s see like 25 patients a day. I would have rather worked in a doctors office but I guess everything happens for a reason, wish me luck lol

    Im currently working as an MA and getting trained because I’m not certified. I already knew how to draw blood from my previous job but idk if I should still get certified? My goal is to go to med school so the clinical experience is a pro. I still don’t know if getting certified would be worth it but what if I need to change jobs? When I was applying for my current position I got a lot of interviews (no MA certification is required in FL) but I had a hard time getting a position because I can only do part time while studying for the MCAT 🥴

    • @Shakyraspeaks

      Internal medicine is not as fast paced as pediatrics in my opinion but it’s still great. I like being up and active since peds has so many vaccinations you’re always moving. Internal medicine your day really depends on the patients you see it may not be as consistent but it’s still great.

      You should have gone to a school that offered internship. Where I'm from they call it field placement. Which is basically working in your field for free while attending school. When you're finished school you're most likely offered the job. Plus the schools guarantee you work.

    • @Azumayra
      @Azumayra Год назад +2

      I am a MA, saw your comment. Since you haven’t had a response I will respond to you. The pay varies but usually a Medical Assistant with no experience can get an average pay starting from $12-$16 an hour. Private clinics usually pay lower but if you start in a system like Harris Health System you can get paid $18 an hour but you have to be certified and have CPR certification as well.
