I just got one and I i love it. I have arthritis and can't cut well with a rotary cutter and a ruler or template. You're right. This is a game changer. Thanks for the videos. You have a lovely way of presenting them.

I have the 12” x 12”. With limited movement on my left side, i don’t have enough strength to use the ordinary rotary cutter. After placing the fabric under the ruler, I secure it with a dumbbell and then I’m able to cut my patchwork squares to perfection. As other ladies have said, this item is a game changer for anyone with strength problems in their arms and hands.
Actually it’s 4 years since I bought this item so I went back and had a good look at it. The ruler base is 15.5” long with a 1.5” white section at each end to accommodate the blade facility.
I would recommend this item to anyone who needs to have better control and more safety when cutting their fabric. Changing the blade is quite easy to do, but I did need someone else to do that for me. (Mish).

Good morning. I'm thinking about buying the Fiskars circle cutter. It has a rotary cutter like this one. How lucky for me you reviewed this ruler and cutter. I feel like this video was just for me. Thank you. All best to you, from NC, USA

Ooh, that's interesting. I don't think I've seen any videos on the use of that. Good luck if you buy one.
I'm aware that there are very expensive machines on the market like Brother Scan and Cut or Aquaquilt Go, but they're beyond my budget.
Although I have some very good machines Sizzix and Ebosser which I use with dies for papercrafting, I haven't been successful with cutting fabric or felt. I'm grateful for Ebays who sell pre-cut fabric shapes too.

@@thecheshirecrafter4522 I’m not a quilter. I, too have health issues and I no longer sew big things like clothes. I like to make little things that I see on RUclips or jewelry bags for travel. That’s what I would like the circle cutter for. It’s about $35. I didn’t see any metal guides on it. I don’t have a lot of gadgets either. I do some alterations once in a while. I’m not in business. If I did that it wouldn’t be fun anymore. At 76, I don’t need much anyway. It’s a pleasure to meet you and I hope you feel better soon.

@@thecheshirecrafter4522 I did buy the Fiskars circle cutter. It goes up to 12 inches with a 1/4 in seam allowance. I like it. It was under $40 and I used a gift certificate to pay for it. I'm just sorry I didn't have it a couple of years ago. The blade is interesting. It's a cartridge and it's about $7. I did not get one yet. TTFN, best wishes from NC, USA

This video was made seven months ago. Are you still as happy with the device's performance and wear as when you made this demonstration video. BTW, very helpful. Never thought to use a dumbbell!
