@@tres311why not? I’m a manual transmission driver for years, but I went automatic in performance cars as well as commuters. And this is appealing to me. Engagement is good. And manual transmissions give good feedback and engagement and make the cars exciting. However, not everyone who buys this car, especially those who live in the city and are stressed daily (but want a car that provides most of the engagement) but not as much of the involvement, want to be engaged for the entire life of the car. Sometimes you want to relax a bit while still enjoying the drive. This is perfect. Stop being a snob. They sell GT3 Porsches in automatic (pdk). Why shouldn’t someone look for an automatic here? Most HyperCars and super cars are auto. This manual transmission talk needs to stop as if a person is less than for wanting something a tiny bit less analog.
@@Joe-eg7mlnot everyone tracks a car. And not everyone wants an auto because of the faster shifts. And not everyone buys and auto because they can’t drive manuals. My first cars were manuals. I drove those for years. I’ve driven performance and commuter cars in manual. I prefer auto as a daily.
Optional or not its a stupid thing to do. Toyota alrady cannot keep up with demand for the manual only version. Idiots get screwed out of dealer mark ups on almost every one of them sold because demand is so much higher than supply. Now enter the AT so the not real car guys\gals can get in on it as well and that situation is worse. I hate when performance divisions go all soft like this. SVT did the same crap. They uses to be manly, muscle cars. Manual only. Take it or keep movin.
@@boost331lol no your just a meathead it’s okay I can see your logic. Because I’m a Gen Z and I love manuals but in my life I’ve never had to drive one. So my preference has always been automatic. Nothing to do with manual transmissions. I’ll also be grabbing this 25 gr auto 💀🫡

This is an ignorant comment. Shifting with a manual transmission has nothing to do with manliness. It’s preference and convenience.
