Multiple Calvings at Hubbard Glacier

Hubbard is a very lively Glacier that is actually advancing, not melting and retreating do to any change in the climate.

What are the black striations within the ice?

Its either sediment or just darker spots from high compression zone of ice.. the more pressure the ice is under the darker the color from what they told us.. Thanks for the watch 👍
