Adventure that Begins Where the World Does too | Calving Glacier Experience | Destination Adventure

  • Every adventure hits me in a different and profound way, but this one more than the rest. There is something incredibly special about sitting at the base of a Tide Water Glacier, listening to the glacier noises and watching sheets of ice, hundreds of years old and the size of an apartment building come crashing into the ocean before your eyes. I have gotten to see this many times when I was filming for Princess Cruises, but to do it in a small boat, and for many hours at a time, is a different experience entirely.
This is one of the largest trips I have done on the ocean with my boat, at just over 70 km return, and that is part of what makes it so special. It is a full day adventure going to film these glaciers, and to do it four days in a row was an absolute treat for me, and a memory that will stay with me forever.
I truly hope you all enjoy this adventure as well. If you want to get out and see the glaciers, there are many cruises and tours that offer the experience, but I promise you it is so much more personal in a small boat like this. If youre in need of a great adventure boat, a Swellfish is the way to go. swellfish.co/D...

Watching these glaciers in action gives you a sense of how long it takes to carve this planet. The exposure of the rock... the slow growth of the trees thereafter... the carving of the rock with the waterfalls... I'm an Oilman from Southern Ontario and have baled up coral fossil from 350' to 450' with different strata making up over top of it. Takes millions of years for glaciers, decomposition, fires and natural everlasting events to create. People just can't fathom that our time here is but a second in a billion year cycle. Great video Dustin!!!

Just to be in the same comment with them is an incredible compliment. Thank you for enjoying to this extent.
