I’m very rarely emotionally impacted by media. I don’t have an explanation, I just don’t feel for fictional characters like that. But this game is the sole exception. The ending of this game made me teary-eyed. Seeing all of the characters I grew to love finally get a happy ending after everything that happened throughout their story resonated with me on a personal level. Especially Neku, who I heavily related to. That final ending cutscene might be my favorite scene in any video game, with Neku’s last speech sounding so genuine and heartfelt. This game helped me grow as a person, expand my borders, which is the philosophy that the game teaches you. If you want to enjoy life to its fullest, you have to expand your borders as far as they go. The title of the game says it best. The world ends with you. A philosophy that I will carry for the rest of my life.
i completely believe that i played this game in the right time in my life to become my favorite game of all time and even to this day 10 years later is still true, i was the same age as Neku when i played the game for the first time and i had a similar mindset to him so watching him grow touched me like no game before or since, it was a unique experience for me that can't be replicate.

I remember working at a McDonald's, and I absolutely despised one of the bosses there. She was emotionally abusive and always took her anger out on everyone. I was able to transfer to another store, and they treated their employees much better there. This song honestly to me makes me really feel like I escaped that godawful place. I even beat this game the first time while working there.
I love twewy but youtube basically only recommends twewy songs whenever I listen to anything, I really wouldn't be surprised if I've heard this a hundred times by now just because youtube won't stop putting this as the next song
