How stupid can a car company be to put the negative pole so far away inside. Basically if I want to wash my car I need to put out the entire battery out instead of just disconecting the negative pole.
I agree that it is annoying. You do not have to take out the entire battery just for temporary disconnection, though. On my Mondeo which looks exactly like this one, I just unscrew the main negative lead on the right (the red-taped one featured in this video at 1:33 and then untaped + reinserted at 2:57). This appears to disconnect the battery from everything except the BMS sensor which is directly wired to the terminals. Unless you are replacing a BMS sensor, this should be fine. Hope it helps.
